Before you judge this thread on the opening paragraph, please read on.
What is this?
No elites, No Firefight, custom loadouts, “Spartan Ops”(Seriously!?), Default Sprint; Seriously!? It’s like they’re taking out the Halo and putting some CoD in. Jesus Christ I feel like crying, if they f**k this up…
Halo will be tainted forever.

It doesn’t need to adapt. It needs to evolve. Evolve into it’s own thing like it’s been doing with every singlegame. Forget CoD 343, forget every game except Halo. The only game you have to beat is Reach(Which was pretty awesome anyways) just like Reach had to beat Halo 3. Build, add, improve.
No Firefight? Come on. Flood Firefight would’ve been awesome. Everyone’s always wanted it. PLUS it’d be THAT much more content.
No Elites? How can that not work? If the Elites/Covenant have made peace and joined with Earth; why can’t they also join in the training program(Which you say is the story of how Red v Blue works); It kinda makes sense.
Spartan Ops? I like the idea but be creative with the name. I DEFINITELY like the concept. Especially story driven missions/objectives/Campaign. There is one thing I’d really like to suggest though, it’s a game changer and will really diffrentiate this concept. For Spartan Ops(Again; change the name); insert Player choice. I’m not joking. Like the system SWTOR has(Forward 1 minute; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0nqdbiy3bE); basically there may be situations; moral situations in which the team will have to discuss and decide upon. It’d be really different and any objections to this; the system SWTOR uses already works perfectly so yeah. Also it wouldn’t be through decisions, but through real-time actions(Eg; going/taking different paths depending on who it benefits).
Default Sprint is okay BUT BUT BUT; diffrentiate it. Don’t just throw it in there like any other shooter with Sprint. Make it different and adapt it to Halo, make it “Halo-ey”. Make it so that it feels like Halo and change something about sprint that doesn’t ruin the genuine Halo feel but adds something to it that makes it more original.
Custom Loadouts; I hope it’s something like giving the player a choice of a selection of normal ordinary default weapons(Example rifle or plasma gun) and not something extravageant. This will actually be good because it makes the player more confident and comfortable when starting the match since they have a choice out of a variety of pretty standard weapons.

I love Halo, and I’m VERY grateful the franchise has never been tainted over these 11 years which is such a rare feat.
Please don’t eff this up.
