All this talk about how great Halo 4s graphics were,
I never really understood and brushed it off
But I finally got the cash to get me a 40" HD 1080p tv around Halo 4s launch, I had to take off my contacts for abit because the eyegasm I had was so great…
Told a few people who still had 20"-30" tvs and they said that thats why they suck
I’m stuck with a 24" for right now and it’s pretty good, but I kind of wish I had something a bit bigger, like a 30" as I just don’t get the quality that I want. Don’t get me wrong, If you see a 24" HD 1080p LED at for $124.00 CAD on boxing day, you should probably get it… At least if the only tv you were using before was from 2000 or so and only able to use AV in/out.
I usually play on a 24", because I don’t want to occupy the 42" while others will want to use it.
The only real difference I experience is that on the big tv, a sensitivity of 5 seems super fast compared to the smaller tv. I usually end up turning it down to 4…maybe even 3 if I can’t get in a groove.
On a smaller tv, it is definitely harder to notice the red dot that indicates you have their head in your sights. Also, if you sit too far back, it can be harder to make out things across a map…like snipers.
I’m using a 42 in 1080p, and it is treating me very well.
Able to see people hiding who would’ve otherwise been overlooked, and I’ve been able to spot camo players in distances I would’ve never been able to pull off in other Halos.
