Idea to stop quitting

Make it so that you need to complete activities to get completion credit on challenges. Don’t count every assist as they go, make it so that you get all credit for the assists after the game. If someone quits they don’t get credit and that should encourage people to stay.

i believe it already does this for a lot of the challenges which i don’t really like that much… Had it happen before for blam challenge, game crashed and back on zero progression again

Or just have a matchmaking system where anyone with a high mmr isn’t always paired with people that are brand new to the game (therefore putting off anyone brand new to the game and encouraging making smurf accounts for anyone decent). This current system results in people with high mmrs running as team of 4s in social. I don’t know anyone with a high mmr that cares about cosmetics items. Maybe the challenge incentive will let average / poor players sit through getting statted on in social for some shoulder pad or skin that nobody cares about.

Also actually have servers of a half-decent quality that doesn’t kick players or make them able to control their character up to a minute later, and resolve the crashing issue for those average players that care about cosmetic items on the console.

This right here. I don’t understand why 343 is so insistent on mixing causal and competitive. Bungie did it right. Social was casual, Ranked was competitive, and there was the MLG playlist for all the ultracompetitives.

343’s system makes the game less fun for everyone. Competitive players don’t like it when people quit or don’t understand how to play. New and casual players don’t like a sweaty atmosphere and getting kill-farmed by clans and high level players. These people live in different worlds as far as how they play and enjoy the game - why does 343 insist on putting them into the same matches?

How about actually balancing matches.

Gone in again this week, 3 games, paired with useless teams again, 3 losses.

Fun.

Edit: 4 losses out of 5. Got to love 343i’s 20% win ratio matchmaking.

Tried to play last night to finish off PvP challenges, got matched up with the same  teammates multiple times. I was just thankful I already had the win requirements done because we were not winning anything against any team with two thumbs. Some highlights were big territories on Valhalla, where we failed to capture a single territory and got all capped within five minutes (one quit, multiple AFKs by the end), Assault on Avalanche, where we ended up getting spawn trapped and the guy with the bomb went AFK in the base, and finally CTF on Sand Trap, where somehow genius team let the enemy drive away with our elephant to park it at their end of the map and cap us three times in as many seconds. I believe I was the sole person trying to stop this from happening.

No wonder people are getting frustrated and quitting SBBM has to go from social. It’s just pairing the same people up over and over, I’d rather just roll the dice on RNG at this point.

The thing is, the games are actually worse than random chance. If you randomly juggled the teams you’d get matches that even out more over the course of a large number of games.

Josh Menke has managed to come up with a matchmaking system literally worse than doing nothing but randomizing teams.

It takes a lot of effort and incompetence to create a system that bad.

People keep blaming the population, but it never has trouble finding good players to put AGAINST me. And I know the team of 3 good players aren’t partied because they come into games as different 1s and 2s. Just MCC always stacks the deck against me.

If the game can find 4 good individual players, then it’s capable of putting 1 on a team with me for 2 good players v 2 good players instead of 1 vs 3 good players.

Nail on head.

I don’t care if someone is a casual Halo player who’s played 5 games total. Great, good for them.

What I don’t want is to play with them. And I sure as hell don’t want them on my team.

There’s lots of them, why are 343i partying them with me. And putting an endless stream of them on my team against decent players?

It’s Josh Menke’s awful SBMM system which deliberately puts them on my team for “balance”.

I quit playing social team games after being constantly paired with new players against a team that composed of tour 6 or higher, made playing team based games a chore to win with me usually having to get 20+ kills just to keep us at either a tie or win, they should honestly make it randomly paired instead of what it is now which just punishes decent players and new ones alike while also making a casual match a chore

The reason why this happens sometimes too is because those players are usually in a group of 4 players. Going against 4 Players who are coordinated like that only means for your destruction. It’s how most of these Youtubers and ttv Players decimate, Usually they are a group of 4 very skilled and always voice communicating players going against 4 Normal players. Had this happen to me quite* often, Also from my experience I would say that Casual gaming does not exist for Social Games, and I guess not even competitive after reading these posts (Although I’m sure that some people disagree).

Tbh I found H4 squad battle comp to be more casual than most of social, even playing BtB is a chore since what I mentioned earlier happens way more than not

Today’s incompetent matchmaking.

Go into Squad Battle.

Get 2 117 tags on my team. None on the other team. Because of course.

One of them immediately quits.

Teammate stare at opponents capturing an objective when it has 1 second until we cap.

Awful as ever.

Ranked Game 2.

Put entire party against us because that’s fair.

Have teammates so incompetent they can’t kill a flag guy with 0 shield.

Worst matchmaking in the industry strikes again.,

All I want is fair matches, and competent teammates.
