1. Im 100% with this guy
 2. Really tiny pyramids
 3. Have a nice Night

So… Spartans can go through glass (to get the powerup)? How does that work? It’s not very realistic… next idea.

how about when you use it your shields disappear, and reappear when you turn it off. shooting or meleeing whilst it is still on will not turn it off but makes you visible, so you might as well be committing suicide. this version of camo as an AA would be solid, even when sprinting.

probably unbalanced but oh well.

The glass is a part of the powerup.

But you see, the glass consists of nanocrystals that, when touching the energy shields, melts around the magnetic field produced by the energy shielding, at the same time electrifying and forming a secondary and even a tertiary shield around the Spartan picking it up. It’s completely realistic.

It could drain your shield?

> It could drain your shield?

When in order to reimplement a feature in a way it would work, you need to downgrade the capabilities of the feature from the original, the reimplementation is simply not worth it. Camo, as well as many other abilities, would work far better as pick-ups. Having an ability as a pick-up allows it to be more powerful and makes it very hard to imbalance. The exact opposite of giving players the abilities off spawn which forces you to make them weaker in order of not being too powerful as everyone can have them at any time and still allows for huge chances of making them imbalanced.

In other words, the whole concept of off-spawn abilities is ridiculous in terms of gameplay design in the first place. If 343i truly wanted to make all the armor abilities work, they would implement them as sophisticated pick-ups instead of giving them off-spawn. But in their pursuit to follow the current trend of gaming, they have left out the most rational choice to implement the abilities. Which of course is going to cause problems such as this.

Boom, exactly what I was going to type. It was already balanced… its all this “innovation” that is messing it up.

Perhaps.

Ppl think camo is OP!???

Are you kidding me!?

Don’t you think promethean vision is enough?

I never thought camo was unbalanced in Reach, especially after the title update.

Hopefully it slightly weakens your shields when activated.

If AC is an AA then it’s going to be AL vers. 2 - mark this

> Just remove the camo part and make it a radar jammer. Instant balance.

> > Whats with all the hate for active camo? It’s one of the least used AA’s in reach, the most useful aspect of it is the radar jammer. To make it viable they need to reduce the duration but let you move at higher speeds while remaining cloaked, as in it’s current iteration the only way to stay cloaked properly is to crawl around the map. And in a fast paced game like halo that helps noone. Also for those crying about being ambushed by people using it, here’s a tip, brace your selves for this. Whan your motion tracker is jammed, be a little more aware of your surroundings and look for the most obvious place to ambush someone from. Good, now you’ve done this get ready for the hard part, okay. Now take a grenade and throw it at that point! Nice one ace now you can counter active camo, im proud of you.

> If camo AA’s were balanced and added skill to game play COMPETITIVE PLAYLISTS WOULD STILL USE IT LIKE MLG OR ARENA but Nope its broken as an AA and should be put back as a Power up like in older halo games .

There’s the thing though, AAs just don’t work in purely competitive play lists. That’s why they use the classic pick ups instead, and the more casual play lists have a bit more variety and less focus on map control because of AAs. Not everything has to work in a competitive play list, halo has always been pretty flexible in that respect.

> Since most people will agree that the camo gives an unfair advantage, I think it needs to have a rather nasty side effect. I was thinking instead of it using an energy bar, it starts draining your shield instead, this way it would be a bit more even when they ambush a player.

Nice, like the Stealth Elites on Halo CE?

they should also be unable to sprint.
