I’m sure we’ve noticed the severe lack of content or communication regarding this game, and with season 2 being delayed until May, we may very well not get forge until august. Seeing the release of Splitgate’s map editor recently gave me an idea: what if 343 releases forge into a somewhat playable, early access or alpha/beta build that they iterate on until the proper release or, alternatively, they conduct multiple forge flights leading up to the release date? If they go the flight route, hopefully we’ll be able to create and save maps locally after the flight is over, but that seems like a pipe dream. This way, we are at least given some form of content to keep people interested, but since the builds have the ‘beta’ or ‘flight’ labels on them, 343 doesn’t have to worry about negative PR if there’s stability issues, bugs, etc.
