Idea on how to have DMR, BR, SMG skins in Arena

In many Arena games, the only weapons you see with skins will be the magnum and the AR. You will find DMR, BR and SMGs around the map, but they will have the default skin.

I thought it would be a cool idea to give these weapons the weaponskins of the people who first pick up the weapon. So let’s say I use the ‘Prestige’ skin on my BR. When I would be the first person to pick up the BR from the map, it will give the BR the ‘Prestige’ skin. When someone kills me and picks up the BR, it will still have the ‘Prestige’ skin. Just like when someone kills me and picks up my AR or magnum, it will show my skins. The same should work with the other weapons that could have skins (DMR and SMG). If you want your DMR/SMG/BR skin on the weapon, make sure you be the first to pick up the weapon. New DMRs, SMGs and BRs will continue to spawn around the maps throughout the games, so everyone will have a high chance to play with his/her DMR/SMG/BR skins.

I know this idea probably won’t be implemented in Halo 5, but maybe it can be done in Halo 6.

I was talking to my friend a little while back about this same idea. I’d like to see something like it in the Halos to come.

Not a bad idea tbj just a little something to put in the game. I don’t see it happening though but if it does hey I’m not complaining

Sounds like a cool idea, maybe we can get this in Halo 6.

Would make it really easy to use for machinima too if you included that feature in Forge.

Maybe when you pick the weapon up, it’s skin changes kind of like a cross between Mystique in those X-men movies and those “Transformium” robots from Tranformers: Age of Extinction. Of course, it would cost quite a bit more to get the animation just right, so it might not be worth it.
