Idea: Leftover Season Points For Experience

So with the announcement a little while ago that Season 8 is going to be the last season for the MCC, I was wondering what would happen to season points if there would no longer be seasons? Would all of our hard earned and saved up season points just go away? Would there be opportunities to still use them in the future for maybe items in the exchange? I was thinking if nothing is being planned for these maybe the leftover season points could be transferred into XP somehow. Just an idea. I know we earned XP with the original challenges that also gave us the season points but seems like a bit of a waste if the saved up ones just disappear after this season.

Content will still be added to the game, just not in the form of seasonal content, so make sure you continue to save your points.

I wish I could do the opposite and trade my XP for season points. I’m still trying to unlock stuff from season 4, let alone the 4 seasons after.

I still need to finish the last three seasons as well. Plus, there’s all the stuff in the exchange. I know the stuff in the exchange will supposedly come back at some point, but it still has a small amount of FOMO, which I’m not the biggest fan of. Still, could be worse (I’m looking at you halo 5 and halo infinite)

Yeah the system isn’t very welcoming to new players, especially when you can only earn just over enough points each week to purchase what goes through the exchange, and that’s if you can get all the PvP ones…

I’m not even new, been playing since Xbox launch 7 years ago. Just wasn’t able to game for like a year due to health reasons, so I fell behind.

Yeah, most of the points I get I spend on stuff I like in the exchange, 'cause I don’t know when or if it’ll be back. But at least I feel like I earned the stuff, because the only way to get it is by playing the game.

That’s true. Getting stuff from the exchange does feel rewarding. I just wish there were more ways to earn season points so I could focus on the actual seasons as well as the items in the exchange
