Idea for Warzone. Possible for Halo 6 as well.

So, these ideas came to me in a dream I had about Halo Warzone, and possibly Halo 6. Here’s the ideas.

Place power weapons, vehicles, and power ups on the map as well as still allow players to use requisition points to call in weapons, vehicles, and power-ups.

Ability to combine armor mods. Maybe, two or three at most. They’re super soldiers after-all with power armor.

Play music on all maps when the game is close to ending. This could pump up the teams and players and comebacks could happen, because of the thrill of the moment.

when one team is dominating the other by over 200 points or more allow the losing teams requisitions to increase in gain speed. Level out when the teams come closer together in score such as 50 points behind. This could help make closer matches and level the playing field out when one team has all tanks out or whatever and the other can’t battle that team, because of not having proper requisition points.

The ability to work towards a certain goal and unlock reqs that way instead of a store system. Such things would be like are you a DMR player only? Well, similar to CoD allow players to unlock reqs by completing certain goals with certain weapons or feats in battle. This way the game won’t be setup to randomness from the store, but skill and dedication from the player. An example would be get 1,000 kills with DMR and unlock a certain variant of the weapon such as the Sentinel DMR or get 1,000 beatdowns with the DMR to unlock the energy blade variant. This could apply to all the weapons.

As mentioned before the same thing would apply for armor or emblems. I know for some armor and emblems this is already happening, but why not all of them? Want that cool armor or emblem? Well like Halo 4 you have to complete certain goals and feats to unlock it. Much like Halo 3’s recon armor challenge.

That’s all the ideas I have for now. Let me know what you think and feel free to add any ideas of your own. Just maybe 343 will read this and take from it.

  1. The fact that there are not already weapons around the map is one of the unique things about Warzone, however you could also argue that this is already in place since AI enemies and bosses drop their weapons once killed. You can scavenge weapons from them.
  2. Combining armor mods would become OP. The fact that they already have all the abilities they do shows that they are super soldiers.
  3. This is something they already attempted to fix in one of the recent updates. No matter what you do in a WZ match now, your req level slowly increases. This makes it so if one team is getting dominated, they are still able to call in higher level reqs over time and potentially turn the tide of the match. This has already made WZ matches less one sided it seems.
  4. I think one of my favorite things about Halo is that it isn’t CoD.
  5. While there are only a small number of armors this is used for, there is an emblem for almost every commendation that you complete, so this is already a thing. I think the only commendations that don’t reward a specific emblem are the ones added post-launch.

You know what screwed up kill streaks and reqs, games like Battlefield. They offer so much more in terms of content like vehicles, all at your disposal right from the get. It takes actual skill to fly a Raptor in BF4 or an attack heli, Halo 5 sort of babysits the player and places emphasis on ineffective mechanics, while improvements like heavy aim and weapon balance take more of a backseat.

I’m sorry but I’m not a fan of some of these ideas. I don’t really like the idea of armor mods in the first place, but combining them would make things way too complicated and hard to balance. And whenever somebody suggests the “getting kills with certain reqs to unlock more powerful variants of those reqs” idea, I have to ask, what about people who exclusively play Warzone Firefight? If they needed to get Spartan kills, then they wouldn’t be unlocking anything. Personally, I think they should do away with reqs and Warzone entirely. I just want a nice simple BTB Heavies playlist like the old days, none of this overly complicated req leveling and loadout customizing nonsense
