IDEA FOR VEHICLES SAWN ON MAP

In multiplayer, especially in objectives mod, the maps are divided into two camps where the red team and the blue team appear. Each camp have the same vehicles. Unfortunately, those vehicles can be used or destroyed by the enemy. I see many times vehicles appear in the camps despite the enemy is already there. I find this situation unfair and I wish Halo Infinite to be more well-balanced.

I thought to two solutions for these problems:
1 Vehicles that just appeared on the map should be indestructible until a player use it (maybe like a shield protecting them)
2 Players should not be able to use vehicles that just appeared in the enemy camp.
What do you think ?

I also make that video to illustrate a little the problem :

That’s really a failure on the team to utilize vehicles. Why punish the team that uses vehicles well and pays attention to spawns when the other team ignores vehicle spawns? Rat’s Nest is a perfect example of this. The team that hops in one of the two warthogs and takes out the opposing team’s and they get the chance to destroy the warthogs in the opposing spawn, that’s on the team that ignored the warthogs in their spawn. Vehicles are an important component in Halo, and if a team chooses to ignore that, it’s ultimately on them. I get it can be annoying but just hop in the turret, someone is bound to drive you

Might as well block all weapons on the opponent’s side of the map from being picked up.

No, if one team is able to make use of the other’s stuff, that’s perfectly balanced because the other team can do the same in kind.

It isn’t so difficult to reach the enemy camp when you have a mangoust or a warthog to quickly cross the map.
Then, you don’t control who you have on your team, it’s not your fault if they don’t use all the vehicles in your base or if they don’t protect them.
And sometimes, a vehicle appear in the base right next to an enemy who was there by chance, he was just lucky. When I see a player destroy an enemy vehicle, I think it’s a mess for the game and not fair for the other team.

Protecting vehicle against annemy destruction or capture could be available for for a few maps in particular, not necessarily all of them.

Also a team might be aware when a vehicle reappears in its base.

S tiger, let me get this straight, you want vehicles to be protected, via shield, from destruction until someone uses it?
Frankly, that isn’t fair to the people who played the game for a long time and gained a lot of skill from playing. What you are requesting from the 343 dev team to do is change the basics that should have already been learned, either through tutorials or experience. If you yourself are having problems with utilizing vehicles, then learn how each one operates, how they should be used, their inherited weaknesses & strengths, and what tactics they capitalize on. If the problem is competing with the enemy team for a vehicle, then you should work on your personal skills.
If the problem is that your team, as a whole, is not using vehicles to their fullest potential, then you must communicate with them. Or, just go with a fireteam and plan tactics from there. From a tactical standpoint, destroying an enemy’s vehicular resource is a very good tactic because you can gain weapon superiority. It’s just like competing for power weapons.
Halo multiplayer is, in lore terms, a combat simulator designed for a spartan to sharpen their skills, utilizing strategies against enemy spartans, plan & executing tactics with your team, and learning how to complete objectives.

It’s just a proposition, don’t panic. I’m not requesting anything from 343, I’m not sure they examine every topic lol.
I don’t see in what people who played to Halo for a long time would be lost by this changement, each new Halo have new gameplay you know.
Communicate with teammate ? That’s my dream lol. Don’t worry for me, I protect my vehicles and destroy others

i do like the first option but not the second.

If a enemy is skilled enough to reach the other side of their initial spawn or for example spawns flip it would be ideal to use the vehicle if the player would be intrigued to use it.

But i do find that in alot of cases especially with gauss hogs which have a crazy rate of fire and damage output typically tend to blow up any other vehicles that could otherwise give other players a chance to killing them quicker. Therefore leaving those not in the vehicle at times usually at a unfair disadvantage. a timed shield on the vehicle when it spawns would be nice to have for sure.

Vehicle control, as others have said, is an important part of the big team Halo experience, as is denying another team their vehicles.

We have all been on the receiving end of a team that is good and can prevent your own team from effectively using vehicles. It’s just a part of the strategy.

What I will say is that maps need to be designed with this in mind. Sometimes it seems like team vehicles are put haphazardly around the base. If a vehicle is a “neutral” vehicle, both sides need equal access. Vehicles at a team base should be at least somewhat challenging to steal. Avalanche in Halo 3 is an example of a map where all of the vehicles spawn out front and in a row, which makes it very common for one team to roll another team and lock them out of their vehicles the entire match. The way to fix this isn’t to make them invincible or un-useable by the enemy, but to simply let them spawn in a place where they wont be instantly destroyed.
