Idea for shield recharge

What if your shield recharged at diff speeds based upon how fast u move… sprint = slowest recharge… crouched = faster recharge…

Sprint should simply be no recharge at all. That’s one of the balance changes from 5 that I actually like.

You shouldn’t get to run away for free like in Reach and 4.

This. I’d really prefer if they bring Halo 5’s shield recharge system back. No recharge while sprinting.

If Halo Infinite’s sprint actually changed speed a decent amount from walk. The sprint speed is actually very slow, hardly faster than walk, its just there to allow for faster travel, not being different enough to allow for a dramatically faster retreat. If you punished players for increasing their speed by 20% at most, it would feel rather annoying to most players.

Yea I can see that. I’m not a huge fan of Sprint in Halo in the first place so any changes to make it less useful are good in my book either way. Reach and 4 were problematic for giving people free run away options.

I hated that in Halo 5, at least I would understand a slow recharge, but no recharge, it’s non sense. Especially in H5, thruster pack don’t prevent shield to recharge, but sprint does, no logic.

Actually I like the WeaponX8161 proposition, it’s adapted to each situation

Not a bad idea. I would actually prefer this to not recharging. It must be slow though like 1/4 of the speed.

I think once we get to see some actually PvP we’ll get an actual sense of balance. Until then it feels fine for now. Overall not a bad idea and the option to implement it in customs would be nice.

I strongly agree. Drove me bonkers when my shields wouldn’t recharge in reach just because I’m sprinting.

I personally don’t think they should touch the shield recharge rate until after PvP action or maybe even make it part of the meta shift after launch.
