Idea for rank and the armory

First off I think there should be 2 ranking systems working together. A 1-100 just like the 1-50, and a credit/playtime ranking system. You should have a 1-100 rank for every subcategory(anniversary,co-op,competitive…) that should work as true skill in that subcategory. In the ranked subcategory(crossing my fingers) the true skill would be more strict while looking for matches. While the social/casual playlist would be much less strict so you could get into games much faster. The credit ranking system would work just like in reach giving you more credits the higher level you are. A persons overall rank would be determined by the highest 1-100 rank they have achieved along with their credit based rank.(lvl 25 legend, or lvl 94 warrant officer are two examples of this) In the armory everything should be unlocked from the start with “higher level” items costing more money.

Good or bad ideas??

As long as the number is an actual reflection of skill, and it’s in no way linked to the credit/experience rank, I’m all for it.

Well the problem in Halo 3 was that it often didn’t show actual skill. Bungie messed with the Trueskill formula to turn it into an RPG style progression system.

Personally I would like the 1-50 to be similar to Halo 2. Not very many people could obtain a 50, unlike in Halo 3 where their were more than a few! I was a SWAT 50 and I feel that their were people who were way more skilled than myself.
I would love if a 1-50 system and a credit system were incorporated. 1-50 being strictly ranked and credits for rewarded for paying well. Kills, multi-kills, kill streaks in slayer, holding/capturing the objective. Similar to how it it in Reach.

So, there’s the 1-100. Based on skill. But you also earn CR, which you use to buy armor? Sounds great! I’ve been thinking of a way to combine the both, and this is perfect!
