One thing that seems to be ticking people off more than it should is ordinance drops. People say it ruins map control and ruins the traditional ways of picking up weapons on the maps. Well i have a solution i’ve picked up from a community member (and a big thank you to whoever that was).
Instead of giving us power weapons in ordinance drops, how about giving us a bigger chance at recieving power ups and AA’s. And whatever weapons we get from the drops would be very rare drops and very common power weapons. for instance, instead of reciving a binary rifle or rocket launcher, how about a needler or the detinator.
They should really take the more powerful armor abilities and make those ordinance drops (Camo, Jet Pack, Promethean Vision) along with the DMR (maybe), Boltshot, Plasma Pistol, and Plasma Grenades. Then they should remove those things from loadouts. The only power weapons in ordinance drops should be the needler, sticky det, and a rare railgun. Then, they should put power weapons in fixed locations on each map and give them set respawn times.

i completely agree with this

PP & PG should also have static spawns on maps. You shouldn’t have to depend on ordinance to deal with vehicles. Apart from that, I’m with you.
plasma pistol is not OP at all, in fact it seems to take to much time to charge up compared to other hslo games. and plasma grenades aren’t that OP either… agreed with everything else though

The gun isn’t OP… its the fact you can spawn with it in your loadout. Basically making any vehicular combat pointless.
How about the first ordnance drops a player can get a weaker weapons like needlers, railguns(mind the charge and small explosive radius) and sticky detonators. Then if a player gets a second ordnance, they can choose a stronger weapon such as a sniper or rocket launcher. However, you have to consider map size. A small map should only yield smaller weapons, such as needlers and railguns, while larger maps yield snipers and explosives more frequently. As long as only 1-2 players of any given team have power weapons, it should remain fairly balanced.
Personally I think it should be set up so that no more than 2 weapons of a given type can be on the map at the same time. Only 2 snipers/beam, 2 SG/SS/Sword/hammer, needler, railgun, and detonater should be the main ordinance weapons. Binary should not ever be in ordinance and Inceneration, Fuel Rod, Rockets only in big team and extremely rarely then.

No, they are not OP; however, they have no place, at all, in load outs. I’m sorry, but you shouldn’t spawn with the n00b combo nor should you spawn with a grenade that ends up netting you kills through pure luck more than actual skill(aka the Plasma Grenade). Both of these things create for cheap, CoD-esque kills. They hamper vehicular combat. Honestly, in BTB team-shooting with the precision weapons takes out most vehicles fast enough, so you don’t need to spawn with Plasma Pistols or Plasma Grenades; however, Plasma Pistols and Plasma Grenades SHOULD have static, on-map spawns.
I forgot to include in my previous post that I believe Plasma Pistols, Plasma Grenades, Boltshots, and load out weapons should have static, on-map spawns.

Pretty sure OD can be customized to be pretty much like this and could be tried out in a MLG playlist.
Personally, I think they should try to either make it more kill streak like (Have the standard amount of points required for mid tier stuff, more for the real power weapons and less for the -Yoink- like grenades and speed boost.)Then being able to choose which ordnance you want to work towards as part of a load out.
Or, make it so that ordnance is mirrored for the two teams so that if one team gets a selection of binaries/rockets/damage boost as their first ordnance then the other team would get that same selection for their first ordnance, eliminating the luck factor that the current system brings to the table.
