A while ago, there was an idea for using Fileshare screenshots as Avatars. Obviously, I need not elaborate on why that is a bad idea. It would be a horrible mess.
So I thought about why don’t we have the Halo 4 screenshots featured in the bulletins as avatars? Adding a few screenshots as avatars every week can’t be that difficult. It would add to the variety in avatars. And this way, none of this inappropriate screenshots would come to pass.
Like this idea or hate it?
I don’t know how difficult it would be to add them as new avatars, or whether the forum software has a limit on how many set avatars it can store, but it’s an interesting idea, nonetheless!
It would be a good idea. I think that maybe one a month would be more than enough and maybe a pole can be set up by 343i to get feedback to which screenshot would be featured as a new Avatar.
Great PR for 343i with the community being directly involved. A win-win for everyone involved.

Doubt it, some of the screenshots I’ve seen in the Bulletin are great, even I’d use them.
The more choice, the better.
The main issue is, how will those images look when scaled down to 80x80?

Some screenshots would be very difficult to scale down and be visually appealing but many could be cropped to highlight a certain feature. It would have to be a very selective few to choose from that would work as an Avatar but they don’t necessarily have to be from the bulletin only.
Intersting idea.
But i don’t see it happening soon since the Emblem as avatar is rather new.
