Just had a thought… there are plenty of coatings, armor pieces, visor colors etc that I just simply will never use but I will be given through progression in the battle pass. What if 343 allowed you to sell back the things you don’t want in exchange for CR to buy things from the store that you want outside the battle pass? Anyone like this idea?
If they were to let us use the colors the way we want and have coatings be things like textures, patterns, decals, extra color palletes, and effects be monitized and they opened up armor pieces between cores then it would be perfect. There’s been lots of great suggestions here and on reddit that they can look at.
Please 343 let us be able to make our characters the way we want to look while still supporting yall
Hmm, I get the premise of the idea but I feel like people could just use a coating, and effectively trade it in to buy another skin, and then later trade that one in and buy another. I think people would abuse it.
It would be just like selling reqs back in Halo 5. And you could fix the problem you mentioned by just disallowing that same coating purchase later on. Once you sell it it’s gone forever. I’d EASILY make that trade. So much junk in the battle pass that I find ugly that id love to get rid of forever

I want a system that lets us modify all aspects of the coating. Textures, shading pattern, skins, decals/emblems, colors. Instead of just selling presets won’t care about, they should sell color palettes and textures, like the systems in Warframe/Anthem. Many people would spend money just to own a different shade of blue if it meant we had the freedom to use it how and when we want.
The coating system will definitely take some getting used to, but I get what 343 is trying to do. I think mixing coatings would be cool so you could make some interesting color combos. Also, I have looked through the forums and can not find were to get the H5 152 coating. I reached 152 in H5 about a 2 years ago so safe to say long before release of infinite lol. Anyone know if it will given to players now or if it will be given on Dec 8?
