I think that there should be alternate forms for the Lekgolo. Because they are comprised of “worms” that have banded together, shouldn’t the be able to take almost any form they want to?
It would be a good way to add diversity to the Covenant enemies.
At the very LEAST they could give the standard Hunter a automatic plasma cannon instead of the giant green one.
