I had a thought of how the Sangheili can be incorporated in the canon of war games. Besides the fact Invasion simulations include the storm faction, I was thinking that the Separatist Elites could help the Spartans with their training exercises. Well, more like help each other.
I had an idea for a trailer if our alien buddies do return. Imagine, Lasky talking to a group of Spartans, and he explains to them that there will be a slight change in their invasion simulations. He introduces a particular Elite, and then takes the floor. This Elite is Rtas 'Vadum (Shipmaster/Half-Jaw). He explains to the Spartans that his finest soldiers will be working and training along side them. We see two huge double doors open, and a group of Sangheili, with armor of the Halo 3 variety, and with their weaponry, walk in and give a roar.
It may seem like a dream, but including Rtas in the story would make a lot of Shipmaster fans happy, and the idea in canon isn’t that far-fetched.
(And, if the Separatists would be a thing, they could work along side Spartans in Spartan Ops! If that will be a thing in H5.)
I imagine Rtas wouldn’t make that much of an appearance in the campaign, but he would be important to the Spartan Ops storyline.
Thoughts?
I quite like wargames been just Spartans (sorry elite fans) I just like the Elites been massive and if they are included in Wargames then they have to be downsized, or only included in certain playlists. I could see a Invasion style playlist, where the more kills you get when you are on the elite team your armour advances, from a minors armour up to Major or something like that, I do miss the invasion style gameplay though, and I’d like the elites to come back, but only if they were there full size. Honestly I don’t think the canon is what is holding 343 back from Elites, its just their size and mechanics.
I like it, but I’d add the reach and storm elite armors. More options are never a bad thing and the reach armors were my favorite.
Yeah! It would be awesome to see some friendly Elites actually train alongside the Spartans. It would be a sight to be remembered.
Halo 3 armor (H2A Elites look boss, though), some Reach armor, Storm armor, and Sangheili ethnicity (EX1, EX2, EX3, EX4) in place of visors. Then, to solve the hitbox issue, either hunch them over again or scale the Campaign models down to Spartan-size for multiplayer, like Gears of War. Then, not only are Elites back and fully functional, but the customization options are deep enough to match the Spartans’.
They shouldn’t need a canon-related reason, but the UNSC-Seperatist allience is as good an excuse as any, as long as Rtas 'Vadum can figure out that ONI runs seperately from the UNSC and that the latter can’t really control them.
I hope they return. There was no reason for them not to be included in 4 if you want to get technical.
I mean the whole flood game type is meant to be a training sim in regards to the possibility of future outbreak, they could have easily added a elite game type in halo 4 like invasion.
I’m guessing the reason they didn’t is because the game was kind of rushed, who knows.
Honestly I was hoping H5 would just do away trying to make MP “canon”. But so far the previews keep making it seem that way still.
On a side note I’m excited for both the MCC and H5, my Xbone is ready to go!
Maybe this could fit well for a Spartan/Elite Ops episode.
