here is a question about the no grapple shot skull idea.

how do you wane compleet then some off the missions where you need to use the grapplehook to reach the other side then?
since for the first mission you need to use the grapplehook all 6 time’s all and thats becoming a problem then with the no grapplehook skull.

Don’t some areas need the Grappleshot?
Not many, but I think the area in the beginning (never tried just jumping across), the area with a Power Seed where the bridge turns off (unless the bridge turns on again, but I didn’t check) and a few others.

No grapple shot during open world sections of the game then maybe? Or the grapple is only available during gold missions?

Don’t get me wrong, I do like the grapple, the thing is really fun! Especially in some of the later areas of Zeta Halo .

But there have been a lot of times where I’ve made a point during a playthrough to attack a base without just grappling in wherever I want. And it’s a ton of fun and an awesome challenge, so I think it could be a fun skull

then how do you wane get some off the spartan core’s then since some off then are hide on place where you need the grapple hook for.
the Excavation Site where the Ghost is staying more you need to have the grapple hook to get it.
and in the outpost Horn of Abolition where you need the grapple hook to come out off the building where the spartan core is.
so there you have the next problems with not using it in the open world.

the no grapplehook skull is a big fail more in any version its a big fail.

I don’t remember any parts of the open world *requiring * the grapple to do anything, but maybe I’ll notice on my legendary playthrough I’m doing.

And for the dig site one, the player would just have to grab it during the gold mission when the grapple would work.

There are also more spartan cores than upgrades so I don’t think that’s a good reason to shut down the idea, but we can just agree to disagree

what you mean by this then
since i have 3 save file’s that i have compleet 100% with and there have all 3 no spartan core’s left.
and all the equipments also have been max upgrade and no spartan core’s are left to pick up.

so if you still have some left still then its maybe a bug and its think better to report the bug with a screenshot that there can fix it.
since i have no spartan core’s left on the 3 save file’s that have 100% compleet.

ok for the dig site is it going to work maybe.
what about the senario when the player has compleet the dig site all and forgot to pick it up then?
do’s it mean more there need to go back to the menu and turn off the skull only for the one spartan core?

and what about the Horn of Abolition outpost since thats more a side mission?

some skull locations you need the grapple hook.
if i remember it good the black eye skull you need the grapplehook in the open world.
you cant use the Wasp for it since you most use the grapplehook to get it to get the skull.

I mean, it’s not like that would be the only collectible in the game where you only have 1 chance during a mission to grab it, and if you miss it you’re SoL on that playthrough.

Also for the examples you’ve given about skulls and what not needing the grapple, I don’t think that’s entirely accurate… There are wasps and banshees available in the open world you can use to get to a lot of places, and the boom skull + grenade jumping can get you to a lot of very high places.

have you by any chance test this also out first if its was working at all?
since i have try it out few mins ago and it was not going to work at all.
the grenade jump is not that good any more like in older halo game’s.
and i have also use the cowbell skull with it and still it was not working at all.

and if its was working at all then in a future update this idea is not going to work any more since there is a chance there going to nerf the boom skull maybe since it give’s some other problems with it sadly that are not fun at all.
