This may be a trivial request in light of more common threads but nonetheless I would really like to see this in Halo 5.
And what exactly is this addition to the multiplayer announcer? Right here, something I would really enjoy listening to in Jeff Steitzer’s voice.

Halo is moving to a whole new generation of gaming and is becoming one of the last bastions of arena shooters. Integrating this into the multikill announcement is not only light hearted humour, but serves as an excellent and subtle “hats off” or “nod” to the type of games that defined the arena genre and perhaps even inspired the announcer in the first place.
I feel like moving on to a new generation is a perfect time to take a step back and give a shoutout to the games of days past, the games a lot of us were fond of and the games that got us into arena shooters.

Halo made the weirdest of shifts in Halo 4 when it completely lost the humor that made it memorable like talking grunts, marine comments, etc., yet gained unfathomable amounts of cheese in the form of PowerRanger Spartans and PoD/sprint/AA/perks.
Personally, I prefer the current version of Halo’s announcer. I’m not sure if you’re talking about the echo of the voice, or the part where he says “holy s***”, but I dunno… As cool as they are in their own games, Halo has always had its style.
Of course, I would love to see the return of medals like Hell’s Janitor/Hell’s Jerome, Thriller, Open Season, etc. Those were unique and added a bit of fun to the game.
Thank you so much for posting this. I miss how funny the announcer used to be with his sarcastic deep tone in Halo 2-3. Previous Halo games made me laugh constantly with the hilarious moments that came from the game physics, death sounds and announcer’s voice. All of that has been virtually sucked out of Halo 4 which only added to its dull, bland gameplay. The current voice is too distorted and electronic and lacks the sarcasm that made it great before. I sincerely hope 343 does us a favor by making Halo funny again.

I loved how Jeff sounded in Halo CE and Halo 2, he was subtle yet authoritative. I don’t mind how he spoke in 3 and Reach, but I think he sounds awful in Halo 4. There’s definitely something off about his voice.
