Idea for Halo 4 firefight

So, I got to thinking. It was recently revealed in the latest Halo novel, Halo: Glasslands, that there are Spartan IV’s and MJOLNIR Mark VII. Both of which tie into Halo 4 via the UNSC Infinity. The Mark VII is equipped with a variety of new technologies.

■Next-gen fusion-plasma hybrid power system.
■Atmospheric insertion systems.
■Slipspace de-insertion capability.
■Active AI transfer protocols.
■Limited shaping of the energy shield (partial overlaps, airfoils etc.).

With the things that the Mark VII is capable of, it could change gameplay dramatically. In Firefight, players always start on the ground and wait patiently for the enemy to fly down in their Phantoms and Spirit Transports, offload, and then charge their way to you. What if we were to reverse these roles? Using the Mark VII’s Atmospheric Insertion System and Limited Shaping of the Energy Shield, You, as Spartans, could drop down onto the battlefield from High Orbit. The AI of your enemies is already aware of your presence and has Anti-Aircraft guns firing at you as you enter the atmosphere. The Atmospheric Insertion System allows the wearer to drop down onto a planet without an SOEIV that ODST’s use. Safe landing of course. Mark V and Mark VI armors were capable of this, but most of the time fatal. Can you imagine, flying down from the sky without a vehicle, being fired at from the ground, impacting and creating a crater, then charging at your enemies guns blazing almost instantly with no waiting. I know this sounds familiar(Section 8). Fast Paced gameplay. Does this sound interesting to you? Leave comments below and let me know what you think.

Sounds good. Nice idea!

There is Mark 7 armor? Where is this proof. VII is 7 in roman numerals.

There’s your proof.

There was another Halo novel? I wouldn’t know. I never read the books.

I don’t know if your being serious or sarcastic. 343 said that 2 imparticular books would have resonant connections to Halo 4. Both those books are Glasslands and Primordium. 1 is part of the new post-war series and the other is the second book in the Forerunner Trilogy.

Awesome idea i love it, btw just incase nebody thinks ur lieing about the books tying into halo go watch the 343 interviews about halo 4 at halo waypoint

Thanks. In my opinion though, the best place to find info is the Halo wiki. The not only cover facts, but also speculation and rumor. Even theories. They cover all their bases so you know whats what and what could possibly be.

Hmm, I’m not familiar with that stuff but it sure sounds cool.
