Idea for enemy type(s): Zeta Halo defense system

With Infinite it seems we’re likely going to Installation 07, Zeta Halo. This installation is a very unique location, being a bit different from the other installations. I was thinking of possible new enemy types they could make with this game. I would have special defense forces/systems on Zeta Halo, very much like Sentinels at other Forerunner locations. However, I would have the enemy type be more along the lines of this piece of Knight concept art. Only difference I would make is have then be slightly smaller. This would make them look more like the Sentinels, yet still very much their own thing. I would honestly be fine if the Prometheans don’t appear, but we get some new enemy type stationed on Zeta Halo. Prometheans designs really haven’t done it for many fans, myself included. Would you be cool with new enemy types more like this?

Still looks a little too alien to me, I like the more mechanical/blocky style.

That’s a cool take
I just much prefer this design. Looks much more like other Forerunner machines.

I may have missed it along the way but why weren’t there Prometheans on Installation 04 and 05? Obviously from a real world perspective it’s because they weren’t created yet. But in universe what was the explanation if there was one?

That would bring me to my point being on topic, the answer to the question above may or may not render my comment mute but here goes. Since there were no Prometheans on Alpha Halo or Delta Halo, I would like to think they won’t be on Zeta right? I never had an issue fighting them, it took me a bit of getting used to them being so prominent in Halo 4 but once the game had been out a while it was fine. Also, the only issue I had was the tracking shots from their weapons. It was too strong.

EDIT: Also realized they weren’t on the Ark, except in the novels where it was a setting. Don’t remember if they were in Halo Wars 2 at all or not

Until a recent YouTube video (I think it was a HiddenXpheria one), I had completely forgotten about this concept art. I really like it. The long creepy arms; all the pieces being joint instead of floaty; and the creepy, souless eye(s) that make up the face make it feel exactly like what I imagine 343i intended the Prometheans to feel: Forerunner-esque, robotic while also biological and ominous. I’d be happy to see this design in future games.

I would prefer not seeing prometheans. We’re back on a Halo, we shouldn’t see them to begin with. We know what Halo sentinels looks like and their defenses. Halo’s were designed and build by a different Forerunner. Prometheans were designed and built by the Didact who didn’t design the Halo Array. It would be totally fine to not have Prometheans at all unless they have to invade like the Flood invaded Earth in Halo 3.

I agree, I don’t want Promerheans. I would not have this be a Promethean, but a brand new line of Forerunner defense machines, given the uniqueness of Zeta Halo.

i think forgeable AI would be nice . the community could make firefight maps

I’m actually surprised that we haven’t seen brand new species of aliens discovered from the Halos or the Ark. If so many were cataloged for reseeding, surely there’d be a back-up in case it needed to happen again. The Flood can’t be the only thing stored for research sake.

It would be fun if Cortana (if she finds the Arc, or if the Halos were used for seeding) could release a brutal, violent new race that turns us on our heels.
