Idea for a Trial Version

First off I know there will be NO BETA and it was confirmed by multiple sources. This led me to believe that I would be waiting until November but, how would you like the idea of a campaign demo like the traditional type of demos or a Spartain Ops Demo were you can prefor 2-3 missions and Co op with friends. Then there is the halfway point of a mixture. Do you think that this is possible because I don’t like the fact that you HAVE to go to E3 or Pax to play.

To Conclude:

Spartain Ops (Option 1)
-Co-Op
-2-3 missions

Campaign (Option 2)
-E3 Campaign Mission
-Co-Op

Full Demo (Option 3)
-Co-Op
-E3 Campain Mission
-1Mission (Sparten Op)

None (Option 4)

Or you could just wait for it. It’s only 6 months away. And people who get to go to E3 get to preview games. They payed good money to have an advantage over the general public.

Deal with it.

Really. And the mod of Waypoint should delete this thread and others that have topics on the beta.

Or you could just not seem like a -Yoink-.

Deal with THAT.

I personally think that 343 producing a beta/trial for Halo 4 will be a double-edged sword. On the upper hand it will allow us to get out Halo fix before the game comes out and hopefully find some bugs that can be fixed before launch. On the downside, people will complain about the most insignificant details, thinking this is a accurate representation of the final product. 343 will have to dig through the garbage to find actual insight to improve the game, wasting time that could otherwise be used to expand on the game.

I wouldn’t mind if 343 sends beta invites to selected persons (such as coworkers, communities such as Rooster Teeth, etc) that are able to give accurate feedback if it means that they will give more time to polish the game and less time corralling the forums and community. As long as the game is fun, it will be worth the wait.

Um… no. I… what? That was the worst comeback I’ve ever heard.

And I’m not being a -Yoink-, I’m being realistic. If they’re not having a Beta (as bad an idea as I think that is) then they’re not having a Beta. End of story.
