As the title says: this would be cool. It would make them a little more viable towards Snipers, and it’d be more reminiscent of Elites from Halo 2.
Currently the Elite Rangers really don’t have much going for them, and on the other hand the Snipers get a cloaking upgrade plus a damage output upgrade. Show Elite Rangers some love 343!

Elite rangers are great right now cause their good for swarming

Elite rangers are very good right now and are most likely better then snipers for anti infantry. The ability to mass them quickly along with good DPS make them quite good since they are a Tier 2 unit.
I think upgrades would only work if they were nerfed and made a Tier 1 unit but then they really wouldn’t be unique at all from snipers.

Yeah you’re right! The swarming aspect of them is what makes them great. They can shoot and run unlike snipers, the tier 1 option and nerfing does sound really cool though. Shields + Cloaking is just something that I’ve always associated with elites lol

Imo however I’ll still game Snipers over Rangers but that’s just me lol
Can snipers attack the forgehog?
Rangers are one of the strongest units right now. While I agree with more upgrades being available, I also think they shouldn’t be specific to a unit, so that Rangers don’t become OP.

It would be cool, but very, very broken. Rangers are exceptional anti-infantry. A lot of high level players agree that they’re better than snipers in almost every way. Which is good; they’re T2, but they don’t need retouching.

I think this is a good idea, and I know this might be a terrible way of looking at it, but the Elite Enforcers are everything I could have ever wanted for an elite squad. Aside the lack of cloak, they are fantastic being both Anti Building, and Infantry!
Clustering them with Elite Rangers, Elite Grunt Squad, and you’ve got a wort fest!
Jokes aside, the Diversity of this combination is a dream come true, not only with Elite Rangers having equivalent protection, but also being surrounded by his brethren!
One thing I do agree with however, is giving them shields! Why don’t they have Shields!
