I'd rather pay a $20 monthly Subscription with **Everything** included like Reach, than deal with A "Store"

Ok what are map packs, I quit the game and went back to halo 5 what the heck are those

Halo 2 started selling packs of multiplayer maps for like, $20. In order to play the new maps, you had to fork over some cash. Back when Halo 2 launched, some players were vocal about selling maps as “scummy.”

Ok well that makes sense to do as it’s good complete proper working content

Lol what? Hard no. I don’t care how good a game is I don’t do subscription. A subscription to play Infinite would be the death blow to this hot mess.

Man rose from the dead to reply to lil ol me, god speed

just no.
you’re falling into the old corporate trap the industry is using for years now. you’re not the first and you won’t be the last one, bc the publishers are very successful with it.
make a very bad system and then improve upon it a little bit to calm the moods, but in the end they have a worse system then ever before. and this goes on and on, and gets worse and worse and people think they have achieved something. thats how we ended up with this system in the first place (and all the other predatory systems like battlepasses and lootbxes)…
and even now, people are discussing how to throw more money into the publishers mouths, instead of looking at the industry and demanding to put the player first and not the shareholders.
don’t give them ideas and never ever excuse or forget what the publishers are really doing.

No we need to give them the idea that this sucks and they need to change it back. That way when the next game comes out(if they ever survive this) is so much better!

@GusTank04, just stop with this embarrassing “argument”. It worked from 2004-2012 with nobody complaining, and most of that was some of Halo’s most popular years. Just admit that you want free maps.

If map packs split the playerbase, sequels make it look like Mecha Freeza. Yet I never see you people complain about that. At least be consistent.

??? Sequels attract 90% of the playerbase, map packs only attract maybe 50%, at most. The more you get, the more it divided the playerbase.

Who doesn’t want free things, lol

Not really, I had multiple occasions in the old Halo’s where my friends couldn’t play with me because they didn’t have the mappacks.
Anything that effects gameplay should not be monetized
