I'd like movement speed increased a tad.

I know this is controversial and I don’t think most would want this but I’d love it if the movement speed was increased by 10% or so in HCS and Throwback if not everything. When sprinting became nerfed via the new motion tracker in HCS I’ve always wanted this and with Throwback I want it badly too.

Just wanted to share this.

I think the maps are fine for what speed it is at currently. Plus I feel it’ll throw a lot of people off (hwc)
for the throwback why not I say

Movement speed should not be increased for the throwback playlist. The whole point of that playlist is to recreate the playstyle of Halo 3, so therefore, the movement speed is the same as it was in Halo 3. If you changed this then it wouldn’t really be a throwback playlist.

I don’t think Halo 5 needs to have speed increased. It feels fine as it is.

Check out the videos below on movement speed. I just stumbled across these myself.

Movement Speed TestFull VideoI believe the base movement speed should be increased as well

That’s referring to basic Halo 5 without any modifications. One of the adjustments made for the Halo 3 Throwback was an increased BMS, if I remember correctly, so I don’t see the need to increase it there.

Halo 5 as a whole could probably do with increased BMS, but at this point that would require a decent bit of rebalancing so I don’t think it’s a necessity.

I should have specified that changing base movement speed is more of a halo 6 wishlist item (i know wrong forum) than a want for Halo 5 as it currently is. I just wanted people to get an idea of how base movement/sprint has affected how we play that is all.

I didn’t realize there was a base movement increase for the H3 playlist

Decreased, actually. - Player jump height is increased - Slightly increased the effect of gravity on players - Player movement speed decreased - Increased player forward and strafe acceleration

Huh. Guess I remembered incorrectly.
Even then, I still don’t think it needs an increased movement speed.

Wow. So you actually want a super sprint? Unbelievable.

Lol, not really the sprint speed. Just the walking speed

Tbh I think it’s fine as it is, I don’t really see a reason to increase anything at all. All of that time rebalancing bms and redoing things like sprint and such to not be overpowered with the increased movement speed from walking sounds slightly unecessary. That time would and should be better spent making a better halo game experience and building off the foundations they have set already. Not changing it so we can run a tad faster, I move around fast well enough, just learn the maps and how you can make yourself faster with your abilities and map awareness and I’m sure you’d maybe feel the same way.

No it’s fine the way it is!

If you don’t see the reason than you didn’t read the post. I wrote it out, the sprint has been nerfed by not showing up on radar. People walk more. This would make strafes and gunfights more challenging. Your talking about moving around the map faster. You completely missed the point. And its just goofy to act like going into settings, upping the movement speed by 10% is taking time away “making a better halo game.” It sure seems doable to me.

This would not be the case. Although HWC is a playlist is filled with game modes available in customs, increasing movement speed in settings increases all movement speed. If you wanted walking speed only to be affected, you would need to edit something more underlying.

Upping the base speed would be fine. But sprint would need to go… Regardless of the motion tracker…
