Not sure why everyone is freaking out about “Spartan Ops” being just a temporary thing. I’ve known this for weeks now, cause they confirmed it weeks ago. But anyways, try and imagine it, if you will, to CoD Elite. New content every month. Doesn’t mean it’s permanent, but just knew content that keeps the game new and fresh. I think this will be a great new feature. I approve, 343!
Obviously Spartan Ops can’t go on forever.
They’ll probably release a full-campaign worth of Spartan Ops episodes then either stop altogether or take a break and release some more.
People are complaining becausr the name is close to spec ops and since its a bunch missions, that ‘automatically’ means it copied CoD.

It’s a place holder name. Confirmed by Frankie:
- Spartan Ops as a name makes sense, it’s Operations, made by Spartans. lol
- CoD Sucks.
- We don’t have to waste CRAPloads of money on Elite like CoD fans, we get Waypoint, all it’s features and all the Spartan Ops missions for free!, yes, for free(as long as you buy the game. =P).
- I approve also, but Please don’t compare Halo to Call of Duty… lol
- I’m excited. =D
Spartan Ops is a great idea and I hope it can continue for a long time, if it is as awesome as it looks, I might even pay for it as DLC or as a feature like Elite. Maybe they throw in a few new episodes with each mappack, sure would make it well worth buying them 
Yet they will be free…
