I'd be PISSED if Halo doesnt add killstreaks!

It is standard for the industry now. If you don’t add killstreaks nobody will want to play the game, that simple! It takes skill to not die in games and people should be rewarded. Add them or you will not have many players like what happened to Reach. Thanks for listening 343, I hope you add them! <3

I don’t really want them, because campers get them easily,
In Call of duty there are WAY to many of them, I like the weapon drops

Noooooooooooooooo!!!

Now i am mad! I think that Halo should never ever be turned into another cod. They should stick the way it was in Halo2,3, and reach. You get medals and that is all. It shows TRUE skill to get a Running Riot or a perfection in MM. If you want killstreaks, go play Cod. Cod takes no skill, REAL games that take SKILL like BF3 or Halo Reach, or even Gow3 have no killstreak rewards!!! So shut up and stop giving 343 horrible ideas that will RUIN the entire series!!!

In my opinion, weapon drops are a more elegant system that rewarded players for acting as a team. I certainly don’t want killstreaks from COD in Halo.

Trolling

Much

And No Thank’s

might aswell! i mean they are adding stuff from the most popular Xbox game, so why not go full DERP and add them!! predator drones!, Covenant’s cruisers Glassing beam!!!, A pack of ODSTs!!! just like the dogs from CoD!!

erm…erm…YEAH! A MOTHER EFFIN BARRAGE OF FALCONS. YEAH!!!

You serious?

Get pissed my friend…Killstreaks ruin gameplay and reward people for nothing special

lol of course not.

People justify the CoD-like changes because it’s popular and Halo must appeal to that large audience, following that logic, Halo will end up as a Space CoD. That must not happen

It seems like half of the threads on this forum are people being sarcastic and funny about stupid mechanics.

Halo does not need kill streaks. Power weapons and weapon drops are fine. Halo is a lot different from other games that include kill streaks as well.

They’re already changing up the formula for Halo, they don’t need to change it anymore by adding in something like kill streaks. If they ever do that, they will surely lose a lot of their original fan base.

The only kind of “kill streaks” I could ever see making any sense in Halo would be ones similar to what they did for Gotham City Impostors. You were able to select an ability to put into your loadout. Once you were on a killing spree, that ability would become available to you.

The abilities available were things like:Dealing out more damage, taking less damage, moving faster and showing enemies on the radar. I don’t want those in Halo but those are the only kind of kill rewards I find to be acceptable for this game.

Something like Invasion slayer could work too for a game type. People vie for control of different points and those who capture get weapons drops but either team has a chance of getting the weapons. So if someone gets a weapon drop after getting a killing frenzy or running riot, each team would have an equal chance to get the weapons.

All of that aside, I think Halo is fine without any kind of kill streaks.

Then in that case I hope you will be unhappy with halo 4.

Actually, no, it is not an “industry standard” now. The only games that have anything remotely similar to killstreak rewards (from CoD) and the games that are trying to mimick CoD to gain the success it has gotten. i.e. Homefront, Medal of Honor (Even though both in their own right are great games enjoyed by plenty of people.)

And Halo already technically has “killstreak rewards”. You get rewarded with medals for going on streaks.

While killstreaks can be fun (looking at you Homefront) since they add an extra challenge and not just free kills, sure, but I dobt it fits Halo. In homefront, whenever you get a streak a certain number of opponents gets info of your general location and an extra bounty if they kill you. The more kills you get, the more enemies you’ve got hunting you, and the bigger their reward.
Sure, getting a streak gives you some extra abilities, but only stuff that any player can get themselves by buying (just like ordnances in Halo 4 or AAs). Hence even on a max (5 star streak), any random newly spawned player can have the same advantages as you got.

Since the ordnance system in Halo 4 sure is very, very similar to the one in Homefront one can hope that 343i also copies/gets inspired by the Battlecommander AI, the one that sends you to hunt down especially dangerous opponents. It’s a blast, makes it harder to camp and does give good players a challenge

There is a game I play sometimes, it has those kill streak things in it. It is called call of duty, you should play it sometime.

Yes giving people who are wrecking free kills is a good idea.
/sarcasm.

No thank you. I like the idea of weapon drops but not raining nuclear fire down from the heavens or something in a multiplayer match

Killstreaks to me is like Snakes to Indiana Jones…

No, the reward you get for killing people should ALWAYS be ONE THING and ONE THING ONLY…

THEY DIE (with possibly a -Yoink!- support package)
