I heard that if you play in a game with a 343 member, you get both the Ice Unicorn Nameplate and AR Skin together, regardless of what game you find them on. I have the Ice Unicorn Skin in Halo 5 but I don’t have the Nameplate. I was wondering if this was a glitch.

You have the correct information, but I should point out that the MCC nameplate is a late addition to the Ice Unicorn family. As such, if you got the Ice AR in H5 before the MCC nameplate was released in September, then you’ll have to find 343 again for the nameplate. It’s not retroactively awarded, sadly.
To add to the above, you can only be awarded these for playing during an announced community playdate like the weekly social stream. Last night’s was hosted by Greenskull so it you matched with him during his stream then you’ll be able to get the rewards. Matching with 343 outside of community playdates doesn’t get you anything.

To answer your original post the information is correct.
if you match 343 on a community playdate your awarded both the ice AR Skin and Ice Nameplate regardless of the game it is in. They are a packaged deal the same goes for the fire AR skin and Fire Nameplate but those you have to design something or make a photo, drawing, video, montage, model, ect literally anything halo related and get it featured on the community update.

I played with Greenskull yesterday and have not received the skin and nameplate, my GT is Lavadeeto and I was actually the first to match with him. It was H2A Cadre on Lockout.

Hey about skins some people have yet to recive I have attended multiple Halo 5 Microsoft Store Tournaments and have yet to recive the Word Of Mouth BR skin. Is there a chance I was lost among the names and is there anyway you could help me with this?

Yes you will get both 343 Fire Nameplate in MCC, and the H5 Assault rifle Fire Unicorn skin in H5 to use
