I saw this disgusting play the other day in a team game.
I don’t know if the Yap Yap is needed for the rush, but combined with Serina, the rush can be as early as two minutes.
Serina takes her Bison, drives it against your base, deploys it and everything freezes shut. Then Yap Yap comes in to rush with his cannon fodder to keep everything busy.
I can understand it is pretty funny, but how do I, as a team counter it? That early I will only have infantry and scouts, but they can’t dislodge the Bisoon because of the range of its aura.
Though on another note, the other time this happened, yes it happened twice in a row, our level 22 was forgotten and did a goliath rush that saved everything.
Choppers or grenade marines deal with the Bison pretty well in my experience. It helps to deal with it before it gets to your base, so scout appropriately.
Choppers and Nade Marines are you best bet. Scouting an armory would tip it off that you need to build them
But that’s the problem: they just build one, then drive it up while team mates rush with whatvlittle they have. The whole base get’s frozen, so that teammate won’t be doing anything until the enemies are cleared.
I doubt anybody needs even two minutes to build a bison and be done with it. The problem is it freezes up a player with its aura, while his others immediately sustains a trickle of infantry. So we have to prepare a stream as well or gather our forces, but its rather hard to reach range when the bisons freeze-aura is just so large. Though I suppose it’s all just a trick to make us ragequit.
Like I said, when my guy goliath rushed them in the back they were done for.

There’s only one ridiculously risky/tricky build that can get an upgraded Bison out at 2:00.
But if you’re really worried about it, build a scout right away and have it run by their bases. As soon as you see an armory you’ll have more than enough time to prepare.
Hopefully the Title doesn’t speak about a real life experience.
