I wouldn't mind a little explanation on mission 11

I kinda find mission 11 a bit confusing. Not story wise but the mission structure? their was walking dialogue to palmer and halsey and nothing else(aside from the intel). I’m not complaining or nothing but why not add that into the previous mission and make it 14 instead if 15 missions?

Those are filler mission, it just adds to mission count. You walk, talk, then leave.

The first lobby mission in the camp was quite fun, despite it not really being a real mission. I spent ages finding the intel and listening to random dialogue. The second time around it did feel kind of lazy though. The whole thing could have been a cutscene but it felt like it was probably cheaper to just repeat the level rather than animate it.

Yeah, the 3 non-combat “missions” are more like interactive cutscenes than actual missions. As already stated, it was most likely just implemented to increase the mission count (despite being just a couple of minutes or less long). I’m just confused why we need an achievement for “completing” it.

There are intel items to gather in each non-combat mission, like any normal one. Very easy to find with Locke’s ping ability. Also, there are a lot of random dialogs and interactions that bring in some interesting lore. You get a bit of understanding of how these former Covenant species interact, what their values are, etc. You can also find some fun moments like a grunt singing a song he heard a former human prisoner sing, stuff like that. It’s mostly fluff, but it’s interesting for those of us who like exploring the Halo universe and lore.

These missions are the only ones in the entire Halo series where you’ve been able to interact with NPCs entirely out of combat, and actually have conversations.

I actually caught a grunt and elite talking about their daily military duties for good 5 minutes so that was pretty cool.
