I would really like some form of a player counter.

Some form of a player counter would be really neat. Whether it’s just for how many are on in general or if its for each game mode I would like some form of it to return, more for just the neatness of knowing X amount of real humans are doing this as the same time you are then anything else. Not that something like this should take huge priority in Halo: Infinite’s genesis, that should be just for the new engine, campaign and overall multiplayer, but maybe just to think about.

Ever since halo 4 declined drastically they probably wont show a population counter ever again

Unfortunately it’s a double edge sword. If the game is bad people will use the player counter as their “proof” of why the game is bad. If the game is good the player counter can shout out to the times of old.

As for the whole “it promotes everyone playing 1-2 playlist” argument I call bs as some playlists will always be favored over others.

I see your point and to some level I agree but it would be nice to see , at the very least, how many people are playing the game (like in Halo 3)

I’d like that as well. Maybe they don’t like to do that because the population is probably embarrassingly low.

Population is the biggest kept secret. I enjoyed how H3s had a map of the world & different regions would like up accordingly to who was on.

That’s sort of what I was hoping for.

That’s not a double edged sword at all. If the population does decline why exactly is it wrong that people be able to prove that? Conversely, a player count could also help prove hysterical people who falsely claim the game or mode is dead are wrong.

There is absolutely no reasonable counter-argument to hiding player count. None at all.

I would like to see a player counter return as well. However, with Halo’s declined popularity after Call of Duty took all of the casual fans away around 2009, I highly doubt they will ever implement a player counter again.

A player counter is a double edged sword. It can both help retain players, as well as push them away if they see a low Pop.

I really don’t think it matters to show the pop game-wide. The only reason I see is for specific playlists. But even that doesn’t make too much sense because you either get a game or you don’t. They did have one in Halo 3, but I don’t think it matters.

I do miss the H3 map of the world.
Seeing where everyone is doing the same thing as you.

I would really like a return of this in some way or another.
