I would like to clear something up about Bloom.

I see many posts on this forum wanting bloom to be adjusted. Some of them I find OK, and they are well though out ideas, but a popular ‘idea’ is that bloom should be made so spamming never wins. I would like to first say…
(a) That is impossible and
(b) Spamming is more effective the closer you get even though Bungie designed it to be otherwise, pacing shots in CQC is stupid of you.

The problem with this suggestion also is that the player who suggests it obviously wants every player to HAVE to pace there shots, or they will lose the battle. This, IMO, makes bloom pointless. Instead of making spamming so bad it is pointless doing so, it would be much easier to remove bloom and limit the rate of fire on the gun. It gives the same effect, and still keeps an emphasis on accuracy.

I’m pretty sure this is what 343i are testing anyway. So please, stop spamming your comments about bloom and just accept that bloom isn’t going to work the way you want it to, ever. The way 343i are going about it is probably the better way IMO.

There we go, a man who clearly explained that bloom was simply a bad implement along with adding AA’s to multiplayer. Just because its in the previous game guys it doesn;t mean we have to keep it >.<.

Bloom is intened for pacers to be rewarded with a good cadence and spammers to be punished for their impatience. It is supposed to add skill gap to gun fights by teaching players to pace.

Bloom was NEVER intended to reward spammers, regardless of range. That’s not what bloom’s original purpose was for, and allowing people to spam and get away with it in close-mid range would be closing the skill gap and letting bad players get rewarded for their mistakes.

You don’t make a reasonable argument.

I thought Bungie implemented Bloom to slow down the kill times of veterans to help the new players have more fun without being BxR Quadshotted everytime they spawn.[/overeaction]

My wording was a bit wrong there sorry. I never meant to say it is supposed to be better or it was designed to be better at close range, but that it ended up being better at close range and players who still pace at close range need to stop doing so because it was supposed to be ineffective at all ranges.

Or I could say, Stop listening to what Bungie said Bloom is and instead, look at what bloom is effective at on the game itself.

If I had explained how bloom worked in the actual game I would have just described a picture f a turd.

What I’m trying to say is that the way you worded your post seemed like you actually thought bloom worked as Bungie intended it to. Bungie had intended bloom to punish spammers and reward pacers, and that spamming was only a last resort option in extreme close quarters. They way you word it it’s as if you think spamming and consistently being rewarded for it is a good thing.

well then they might as well made the dmr shoot super slow, if you say it was to punished spammers. cause that would eliminate spammer winning.
