Like I said, I would like to see actual open maps like the old blood gulch. Those maps would actually warrant having vehicles. The current “open” maps are really just closed labyrinths without a roof. They force mid to close range engagement and as a result, airborne vehicles are way too OP. I miss the days when you could see the other team’s base from clear across the map.

There’s only 3 maps for BTB… I just think making any kind of general point about the map design is difficult because its such a small sample size to work from.
Its possible the next map we get is completely different from the current ones, so I’ll just leave it at that and say that more maps is needed for an awesome mode like BTB.

Nah we need smaller BTB maps like Streets, where it’s impossible to drive a Scorpion and fly a Banshee. We also need to cut the health of the Banshee in half, and make the Scorpion slower and reverse randomly more frequently. We also need more big rocks all over every map, just to make sure that vehicles are flipping often enough. They aren’t flipping as often as they could be. Maybe 343 should just make vehicles flip at random intervals.

Also make sure the map has random collision on it so people can’t get around to quick. Ideally a complex and claustrophobic maze would make btb better by only allowing ar and grenades to be effective.

Ah yeah random broken terrain, with even more random invisible walls and kill zones would be nice. Can’t have people grappling too much or flying above ground level. 343 should also nerf all the weapons because people die too much. Matches need to take at least half an hour. I feel like CTF matches especially just aren’t long enough, and we should have triple overtime
We also need more energy weapons and skewers on every big team map. I really don’t get what 343 thought they were doing with vehicle balancing. I mean, the other day I saw someone get in a Banshee and it wasn’t destroyed immediately. Talk about unbalanced.
