Hello, I tried contacting Microsoft support to get a refund for my digital purchase. They wouldn’t give me a refund but said that I should contact 343i to get them to refund me the money. I said ok and if they could be my the support line website. They gave me the halowaypoint.com website but I pointed out to them that halowaypoint.com doesn’t have a contact page. He said that’s the link they gave support to route issues with MCC so he said to try the forums.
So here I am:
I would like a full refund for a game that I purchased that is not working and has not been working since launch. I understand you are working to fix it but I not longer care to support this game that has been broken since launch with my hard earned money. I hope you understand as consumers of other products why I am asking for this refund. I have been patient–as have others–but 8 days after launching I just no longer care to play this game as I have soured from the experience.
My support ticket reference number–which Microsoft Support said I should mention–is 1269945820.
Thank you and I look forward to my account being credited.

343 cant refund you. That would still be a ms issue since you purchased it from them directly.
Thats like going to the farmer for a refund after the market sold bad items to you in whatever way they were created and stocked them.
You’re not a real fan then. Of course this is way too long, it should’ve worked right from the start. But if you’d actually care about the game you don’t care if it takes 8 days or 30 days. You stick with it. It’s not like you would stop playing after 8 days so why even return it lmao.

I’m just doing what Microsoft Support told me to do.
343 has no access to your info unless they charged you directly. Look on your statement and see who the charge was from. I haven’t looked at mine but I assume Microsoft. That’s who you deal with for your refund. I’ve heard some people had a hard time getting a refund but no one has gone through 343.

You can continue to support a game that doesn’t work. I’m old and have better things to do with my time and money. The product doesn’t work, I want a refund. This should not affect you in any way. If you want to consider yourself a “real fan” by supporting a broken product because it makes you feel like you have a special badge of honor then do it. Just don’t expect everybody else to.

The only time spent was maybe an hour or so, at least according to the service record with only a handful of levels completed.
Curious, did you buy the license for the game strictly for MP or the entire ability to play 4 games for the price of one?

Yes I will continue to support this game. You know why? Because Halo will be fixed eventually. Sometimes you have to be patient in life, and since you’re " old" you should know that. Play something else in the meantime.

I bought it specifically for MP. I still have the other games, except for Halo 2, if I want to play those for the campaign but Ive already played the campaigns on all the games years ago so it doesn’t really interest me.

Ahhh. Simple enough.
Somewhere someone in the forums had said that while you are less likely to receive a refund (but not impossible), but more likely to receive credit on your account. Just something to think about if in 3 days there is no update.

LOL This statement right here made me laugh. If you’re old and have better things to do with your money why bother getting the game in the first place working or not. Crying won’t help
i understand you’re frustation with state of the game as is but don’t you have the patience to sweat this out a couple more days untill the patch arrivés and see how MP works.
we’re all the same boat here and we all want to play online as fast as possible but be patient my young padwan the force in this one is strong.
What is two or three more days in a lifetime?

When you grow up, you’ll discover that it’s not just his amount of time available. Everyone has free time. He’s mad (rightfully so) because the product is broken. Its not that he doesn’t have time, he can make time. But it’s not worth it for him to check back and see if there’s an update all the time. Additionally, it’s the principle. He doesn’t want to fund a -Yoink- product, I don’t blame him. I’m keeping it for now, but I don’t have much faith 343i can fix it. I’m starting to wonder if they even understand how to make a matchmaking system at all.

Do you understand how to make a matchmaking system?
