Why not? There is a clear lack of alternative PC shooters out there and the audience is huge. A lot of us play Counter Strike because its the best there is but it would be nice if yall just brought it over.
With all the new Microsoft policies with open sourcing .net, buying xamarin, and not sucking in general, why are they willing to lose millions of dollars by underselling Halo?
Are they still betting on “Xbox exclusives” as a business model? I would at least expect the legacy Halo library : TMCC would eventually hit PC so that we can all enjoy it together and target the place where most gamers play together globally which is PC.
You do realize Halo 5’s forge and custom games are coming to PC for free, right? While there’ll be no campaign, Warzone, or online Arena, you can still play with friends on the same maps available on the Xbox.
And exclusives are a business model that create the competition between platforms and consoles, at least it used to be. You shouldn’t be looking at the Xbox One vs PS4 or Console vs PC war based on the specs or how pretty something looks, you should be looking at the games you want to play. Halo is, for the most part, only on Xbox. If you love Halo, you won’t be buying a PS4 first, you’ll be buying an Xbox One first.
Unlike DLC, season passes, pre-order bonuses, and the other plagues in the gaming industry currently, platform exclusives are a business model that makes sense to both the business and the consumer.
I wouldn’t mind Halo coming to PC because to me I think everyone should be able to play whatever.
I don’t like this idea of console wars or PC vs. consoles, it just seems redundant to me. It’s a hobby not a lifestyle.
Back to the topic, there’s still CE and 2 on the PC but you’re gonna need some external plug ins to play those, and there’s also Dewrito if you wanna check that out. As of now the actual Halo: Online servers are shelved until further notice.
Then there’s the rumors of MCC coming to PC as well but I’d take that with a grain of salt until E3. I’d honestly wait to see how customs and forge are dealt with on windows 10 given 343’s less than reputable track record.

Pc market is massive, alot more PC gamers than Xbox one gamers and that’s the point of the Xbox running a windows 10 based OS, Microsoft are trying to set up a single enviroment where you can port things from each windows powered device without a lot of effort. Look up Microsoft UWP

This is hilarious, so I wonder why LoL, counter strike, Starcraft 2, Dota, all pull more general revenue for tournaments and larger populations than halo 5.
