I was tempted to buy some gold packs today since im close to unlocking everything but nah what is it like 3 bucks for a pack or something.
I’ve spent over $100…
I think it’s reasonable. Lowering it a dollar on special occasions would be pretty cool though.

we all make mistakes lol
" I need about Tree Fiddy"…
“I gave him a dollar”…
Thats what I thought when I read your title

I don’t know why you would waste money on REQ packs! I got 100% completion before level 100 without buying any (apart from the HCS pack x1) just by being smart with them. Complete bronze, then silver, then gold. That simple!

Well aren’t you just amazing? Not everyone can play an endless grind hours on end…

before lv 100? Honestly I can’t believe that
I thought you were making a Robocop reference.
Disappointed…

This is why we can’t have nice things. People shelling out insane amounts on what should be much easier to unlock in game. People can look forward to another Halo game filled to the brim with microtransactions and customization based on random packs. The counter argument is usually that you can still unlock them without paying however I played 300 hours to unlock a simple ODST helmet. The REQ system is a mess.

you didn’t play to have fun? i’ve spent roughly $300 on req packs and i literally do not care what anybody says about that. it enhanced my enjoyment in the game and was worth the money i spent. Anyways, if 343 let you unlock a legendary mythic helmet with only 10 hours of gameplay the community would be crying about how easy customization completion would be. it is a legendary mythic, it is literally supposed to be one of the last reqs you unlock.

This was never an issue on the forums on past games, you could unlock all armor on H3 with relative ease and no one cried about that, the same happened in H4 and Reach.
So this argument is a joke.

Weekend sales would be pretty nice, although everyone would have everything by now then. They might do something like this in the future, that way people have a chance to earn everything first.

An ODST helmet shouldn’t be a mythic legendary to begin with. If they want to put Bucks specific helmet as a legendary that would be fine with a plain base one being a much lower unlock.
It’s harder to play for fun when everything in Halo 5 revolves around these stupid packs. Want to be happy with how your Spartan looks? Packs. Want to be able to spawn some decent weapons and vehicles consistently? Packs. They all impact the enjoyment of the game. The REQ system is way too intrusive and in no way designed with the players in mind hence the randomness. If the REQ points were able to spent towards specific pieces like Reach and you had an option to buy points, there would be much less complaining.

In a different post, 7 minutes before you made this post, you said this same line about the ODST helmet and finished with "The REQ system is fine"I’m curious what your opinion really is.

Why shouldn’t it be a mythic? Because you wanted it?
The game does not revolve around the packs, in my opinion. If they make it hard to have fun though, why not play a game that you find more fun?

Because it’s practically been a default helmet in most other Halo games or a fairly simple unlock.
How on earth can you honestly say the game doesn’t revolve around the packs? Try playing the game on an alt without opening a single pack and tell us how it goes.
