I was realy exited for H4 - one of my most wanted games for this year. But I won’t buy it now. May be next year in summer, or in two years; → if it gets cheaper.

The reason?
Two of my good frieds and colleagues told me they were just frozen out of this forum. And I can understand what they mean:

An emergency decree combined with the order to shot fast has NEVER worked … and will never work. Not in the internet and not in the real world (Greetings from the Weimar Republic).

Ony of my friends told me he wanted to say: 343 should calm down over their leaks and so on, things will be fine … and he get banned.

What the holy hell is going on here? Is H4 still a game? Or a Religion … and the fanatics are making a putsch now ?!
I won’t support a sect - sry, thats why I won’t buy Halo 4. May be it will be a great game… and I am realy exited … but my morale stands above it.

I personaly have the feeling the things boil up to much here. Ppl get crazy … that’s why I will leave this forum until everything calms down. So iam out of this for may be one or two years.
I think my friends won’t come back. A pitty because they are great authors with a lot of good ideas; also useful for possible games.

So I don’t care what ppl write in here now, because I will stay away of this forum, too.
I just wanted to say to everyone of the fanatic fans and/or the overstrained monitors: Good Job with your Emergency Decree and your fanatic: “punish … no wait: EXECUTE the leakers” thing.
→ You lost a lot of good fans now with a lot of phantasy and ideas.
And … was it realy worth it?

(343 will be very happy…)

We let you alone now with the fanatics … and may be you can discuss more and more over multiplayerbalance and so on … why not …
Complete only Multiplayergames w/o storyline will work good … as H2 showed years ago.

It will be like it is always:
First the “avant-garde” leaves … then the normal ppl … then the ppl who think that everything gets straight to hell … and in the end: only a few unuseful fanatic coreppl will stay. (Good to see in a lot of other game forums → like in T10 forum.)

I just hope it won’t go this far with the Haloforum … would be bad for the Halo Franchise, too.
But I fear: everything in here is on the best way down to hell. Especially with the “Oh leaks? What is that? - Ehm a leak is … - Fast ban him!”- mentality.

It was fun …

In any case, it’s your decision to not buy the game when it is released. Meanwhile, countless others, including myself, will be enjoying an awesome game :slight_smile:

By the time you get the game, i guarantee you will not get a copy until 2 weeks later. All i can say is now, good luck.

Yeah, I know that 343 Industries are leaking alot of gameplay so they can allow their fans to become much more hype over Halo 4 which really made me hype over Halo 4. Don’t blame 343 Industries and just enjoy the game Halo 4. Just because your friend(s) were banned doesn’t mean that stops you from buying the game. If it’s not your problem and your not involved then just leave it. Think of a cup of coffee on the table, is that yours or is that someones else?

Plus, many people don’t give one single [insert word here]. I don’t blame 343 Industries. So yeah, uh bye?

We are not nearly as fanatical as you claim, but we will ban for leaks without exception in order to protect the integrity of the franchise and the Campaign experiences of the members here. There is no better way to ruin a story for someone than to tell them the ending prematurely – that’s true for any form of media, from books to games. So, we’re not letting people spread the ending around.

If you’re going to be so petty as to abandon the franchise just because your friends took the risk of ruining others’ time with Halo 4, then by all means, leave.
