Every Halo game has had its own vibe…its own atmosphere.
Halo CE: A sense of mystery and unprecedented discovery.
Halo 2: A sense of chaos and being “in the thick of things”. (You usually find this vibe in the second installment of any trilogy).
Halo 3: A sense of epicness and a feeling of everything coming to a close. A grand conclusion to a great story.
Halo 3 ODST: A sense of loneliness and isolation. A very personal and small scale event.
Halo Reach: A sense of forbidding, of facing unbeatable odds. A dark story where you know your demise is at hand but continuing your mission is most important.
So with that said…I wonder what Halo 4 will feel like. In the grand scheme of all Halo installments, I wonder how it will.be identified. Something tells.me that with the inclusion of a worthy and omnipotent nemises AND a specific focus of ancient Halo history…this particular installment will have:
A sense of epiphany, of realising there is more to the story and that the answers are coming. That the biggest threat, and most important mission in the Galaxy is about to come into play. I think Halo 4 will be a personal statement: “You havent seen anything yet!”
What do you peeps think? And do you agree with my explanations of previous Halo titles?
