why do you only get cosmetics for finding the cosmetic boxes

Yeah it sucks, it felt quite nice to be rewarded the EOD armor in Halo 3 after a grueling Legendary experience, however, for our effort in Infinite we’re given nothing but a 30 gamerscore achievement
I think it’s safe to safe the F2P model influenced the decision to not give a reasonable multiplayer reward this time around & that’s disappointing.
Probably to sell the armor in the store. I could be wrong, but check June’s Insider Infinite article. There are images of armor which says it is unlocked by completing the campaign. Also, the cosmetic boxes are called armor lockers.

Oh gosh, I wasn’t saying that to call you out. I was just mentioning it to support the intent originally was that we’d unlock armor.

Yes, but that’s not coming til Season 2 I believe. From what I remember they do have working coop, but they were unsure how to handle checkpoints and reloading. In the past this wasn’t such an issue because of players warping to each other and more linear level design. But it’s tricky now with two players allowed to do two different objectives at the same time.
