I wish I had never played Call of Duty

Then I’d be able to truly appreciate the new direction Halo is going in.

Instead, I’ve played CoD since the first in 2003 (Finest Hour) and only just stopped purchasing the games after Black Ops because they quit innovating (and tried to sell dumb maps for $15 instead of $10)

I’m sick of Call of Duty. I love Halo because if how refreshing it is and how other games have difficulty emulating its formula.

Now I see one of the main things that made Halo unique, it’s arena style sandbox, replaced with a system very similar the the franchise I have gotten sick of over the past 10 years.

I don’t give a rats -Yoink- who invented perks, killstresks, and weapon camos. CoD is the biggest game franchise in the world and if you think 343 didn’t sell out to CoD to make more money, then you are the definition of a “fanboy”.

Is it wrong to enjoy this game? No. I’m jealous of the people that do sooo much. I really am.

It seems like this is the end of Halo for me. It was a good run. Thanks for the campaign though, 343. It wasn’t amazing but it was thrilling its own way.

I hope Destiny blows me away and then you borrow features from that game. Then, I might return to this franchise.

I find it really strange when people say that “CoD didn’t invent it, it’s been in previous games” yada yada yada.

CoD made those things popular, and I doubt that if those features wasn’t in CoD, i343 would have put them in anyway.

I stopped playing cod at black ops because I became bored.

However, you can’t say Halo is the same just because they used a few similar features.

That’s like saying Fight Night champion was the same as Mass Effect 2 because fight night blatantly ripped off the perk system.

Halo is differemt enough to enjoy seperately.

“A few”

-Ordnance = kilstreaks
-Custom classes
-A flawed XP system
-Perks

More than just a few

I just want to play a balanced arena style halo game. Is that really so much to ask for? :frowning:

I agree, if I didn’t play COD I would appreciate perks and Ordinance drop more.

Personally I think Ordinance drops are ridiculous, put requisition and Ordianace Priority on, your guaranteed a power weapon or a good supply of overshields or whatever boost you want.

Calling in ammo, or grenades seems reasonable, maybe in even vehicles if your currently waiting for them to respawn, but I think power weapons and boost (damage boost, overshield, speed boost) is alittle much.
