I wish I could buy armor pieces with req points

It’d be like buying armor pieces with credits in Reach, there are just a ton of armors I really want like Helljumper and vigilant that I’d love to have but can’t obtain due to not having enough time to grind req packs for them.

We all wish. Hopefully for halo 6.

If that isn’t how it works in 6 Im going to have some very serious words with Microsoft…
Honestly it could work, and we could keep the REQ system as it stands now too.

Say, the MK V armor (the full thing) costs like, 100,000 RP (say), and maybe it unlocks for buying at a certain rank, like in Reach. But you can get it earlier by getting it in a REQ pack just like you can now.
So your choices are; save up for it straight, or try your luck in the REQ system.
Hell, take it a step further maybe; you unlock cosmetic changes for it (ammo add-ons, up-armor sections, damage) by getting kills while wearing it and then unlocking those with RP

And I wish they add full armour customisation like the one from Halo Reach or 4, return the emblem customisation since Halo 3.

Here is my idea i have had since launch:

Buy armour outright, different rarities=different cost and requirements

Common (grey) 1000rp. Common armours would be your regular spartan IV armour, i.e. Recruit, soldier. The other extremely ugly ones (seeker) should be removed. They are not fitting for spartans. No sr requirement

Uncommon: These are the armours higher ranking S.IVs wear. So you would need to be Sr20 and above to buy them. Examples: E.V.A, air assault. 2500 Rp each.

Rare: For even higher ranking spartans or those with specific roles in the squad (remember spartan ops fireteams): E.g Recon, Operator. These will have a rank req. of 50, and cost 5000 Rp each.

Ultra rare: Specialized suits of armour. E.g Rogue, Tracker. These cost 10000 each. Rank requirement of 75 and up.

Legendary: These are the Gen2 variants of spartan II armors. These cost 30,000 rp each, Sr rank req. of 100, and require you to have unlocked all common-rare armors. e.g Mark VI, MarkIV, Mark V. Then there are the osiris armours as well as other ONI-specialised S.IV armours here.

No “mythic” rarity, this goes into legendary. Now, you may be thinking that this would take too long to unlock, well see, here is where the genius is. The armour you buy has NO SKINS. Skin sets/helmets are NOT separate unlocks under my idea. Instead, they are thrown into req packs, and one skin can be put on all types of armour, along with your emblem. If racing games can do this to over 500 cars, then so can halo. You can colour the skin as you please, put your emblem on your shoulder, chestpiece. This would be a great way to keep the req system, but also have a far more enjoyable progression system. Another good thing is, 343 could add skins as much as they like, as the base armour unlock system wont be completed ruined by 100’s of skins that many players wont care about. Obviously, there will be skins you unlock with commendations along side the rng (for armours,weapons, helmets). Commendation armour is also part of it.

Tell me what you all think. Keep in mind that skin armour sets and helmets no longer exist in this idea, as well as other filler sets that were likely purposely created to waste RNG rolls (why else would such ugly armour make it into the game??).

I think what 343 should have done is have different req systems like a bronze silver and gold (or even common, uncommon, rare, Legendary, mythic w/e) for armour, then ones specifically for warzone reqs and if they wanted add the reqs now as mixed packs.
