I wish Halo was back at it's Prime

I wish that Halo 5 would sweep the floor with that gimmicky, repetitive, trashy -Yoink- game known as Call of Duty. I wish that Halo dominates the Xbox player base again once more just like Halo 3 did well at least for a while. I just don’t get how a game like COD with no heart and soul put into that -Yoink- game sells more than Halo on Xbox alone. I wish that 343 attracted the Custom Game audience more and Machinima audience more that’s why Halo was so great during Halo 3 because Bungie catered to almost every sub-community in Halo out there. Now it’s just the competitive community(that’s not a bad thing) but 343 really needs to stretch its arms out to the dying sub-communities and resurrect them and bring Halo back to where it was Pre-Reach. But I know that won’t happen. I will be getting Halo 5 but i know that because that trash game that comes out every year will take away from that population.

To correct your statement, Bungie didn’t cater to the Custom Games community they essentially created it. They have said that they had no idea that custom games would evolve and become what it is today

I don’t even read your post. With a title like that I just clicked to call you pathetic cretin. Please jump off a bridge.

Halo became extremely popular mostly because of the experience you could have with your friends. You know, playing LAN CTF on Blood Gulch with your buddies. Or perhaps trying to LASO the campaign with your friend. And then Custom Games came, and basically took the experience that you had playing with your friends, and made it online. That is what Halo owes it’s popularity to, not competitive multiplayer. I wish 343 would realize this and try to appeal more to the Custom Games and Machinima audience like you said.

The title’s actually a bit misleading. He doesn’t really hate on Halo.

COD has thier little kid fanbase on PS4 and xbox one, halo only has us,we are more mature and skilled players

Don’t forget tryhards. CoD has all the tryhards xD

Based on what I’ve seen, Halo is in its prime… We have many great games, multiple movies, and blam load of animated series’, lots of good comics, and amazing books that all see to keep coming out.

I don’t get it I’m just wishing that Halo reclaims the throne it so rightfully deserves over COD and I don’t hate a single Halo game I love them all some more than others but I think we as Halo players and fans can agree that even Halo 4 is better than any COD any day.

It’s content is not at its prime but is not far from it and also the player base pales in comparison to COD on the Xbox Halo should have greater player counts than COD on Xbox

And I wish we had a feedback section in the forum. Oh well, -Yoink- happens.

Wat
Halo was in its prime with Halo 3. After that, it went downhill and still hasnt recovered.

You should probably do more than just read the title next time. But your angry post was good for a laugh at least.

Halo Reach was the nail in the coffin. 343 is trying really hard, and I sincerely hope that Halo 5 makes it relevant again.

I think if you cared enough about the franchise you wouldn’t care about how population views it. as long as the games stay supported and you can still find games with your friends nothing else should really matter.

CoD is popular because any kid can pick it up and be a god. You can’t do that with Halo.

no such thing as tryhards in COD all you need is fast reflexes and good aim in halo you need more then that so halos where the tryhards are

Haha spot on

halo will always be the best they will ALWAYS have the throne they had IMO back in halo reach best multiplayer experience for me halo 3s was good not great because i started halo with reach but since then played every single one and halo 4 was all around awesome, still kinda is

Well it’s really not that simple as to why CoD is so popular but mostly I think is because people can just jump in and out of game and it’s quick to find a match. Secondly it also caters to everyone which it seems the hardcore/competitive community doesn’t understand. Call of Duty 4 also launch in interest with CoD 4 because it wasn’t the future and wasn’t WWII it was set in a modern setting that people were fascinated with. Plus CoD is also released yearly generating interest that a new game is coming. However it does seem like people are getting tired of CoD’s yearly release the tides could turn back to Halo. Halo 5 seems to be hitting all the right notes it’s catering to the halo fan base but also attracting people outside the fan base. Halo can not just survive on the community alone.
