I miss when bungie was running things. Having said that, I just hope there is a competitive circuit for halo 5 and it thrives.
come on, give them a break they had 2 years to make h4 and they had to make there studio. And halomcc, yeah sure it was bad but for the last 14 years halo was never glitchy, Halo MCC was a big game done with a lot of people the deserve a break especially after repaying us with nameplates avatars and a perfectly working free copy of odst. If that’s not good enough enjoy being angry. You’ll miss out on halo 5

Really? Have you seen what a clusterfukk Destiny is? Buffing weapons, nerfing them and then re-buffing them again.
The PVP is some of the worst I think I have ever played.

Yeah MCC was one of the most botched games of all times but they did fix it. My MCC has been working pretty much flawless since feb/march time frame. Also MCC hasn’t been the only game with a rough start on the new systems.
I in no way made this thread because of a “rough start”. This game isn’t ANYTHING like I expected it to be at this point. The ranking system was a key feature, it’s terrible. It has glitches and ways for people to cheat it, not to mention it works strangely now that the population is so low. Dedicated servers are a lost cause, the game is still riddled with bugs. I live in the USA and I still have to reset my game to connect with friends. I still have to reset when the matchmaking refuses to work and connect to a game. That is pathetic. The playlists are hugely disappointing. The voting system really sucks for the cross game playlists that I might actually want to play. Anyway bottom line is I am not complaining of past problems. The game is currently far below par and the devs have shown little interest in supporting it effectively.
I can assure you I will not buy H5 but that wasn’t really my point either. I wasn’t interested in Halo 5 in the first place. My point is I will never buy any product from them again. Doesn’t matter what it is or when it comes out. Doesn’t matter if its 5 years from now. I will not support them after they screwed me on this game.

Meh, I’m an old school halo player. I like CE above any others. Halo 5 doesn’t interest me at all. It just makes me think of Call of Duty with how fast the players zip around.
The nameplates and ODST in no way makes me feel any better for messing up this game. I already owned ODST and I don’t even know if I would ever play it again in the first place. Firefight was the best part of that game.

Well like I tell all the others it’s best just to get over it and move on. No one here is going to be like oh so and so is never playing or buying again…I better not also… .I didn’t like the way Saints Row went and I don’t feel the need to go to their sites or what ever and leave some sort of speech. At the end of the day it’s just a video game. Find a new franchise and game to play.

That makes no sense at all. I still play CE, I’m still a part of the community. This is a forum and I’m leaving a topic, nothing wrong with that. This is the slowest moving forum that I have ever seen. It’s not like this thread is taking up precious space. People can respond if they have something to say in agreement or otherwise, or not click on it at all. If anything a few people might read it and make a decision whether they want to continue supporting a company that does such a bad job with a product.
Well I got more then my money’s worth out of this game. I play the campaigns a ton and would have been fine if MCC was nothing but campaigns with co-op. (Spartan Ops included)
MM for me has been fun. H2A plays well and would stay there and even BTB playing on all 5 Games. But this community of, “ME ME ME. play only what I want or I’ll QQ and quit, tk, and afk on you” has ruined Halo 1-3 for me.
Halo 4 playlist has been amazing. Everyone plays to have fun and the matches are intense and challenging. The Score always in Flux form one direction to the other. And I only see quiters 1 in 5 matches. And only if one team is destroying the other. But even out matched 4v5. We were able to win at the end.
But honestly. MCC works well for me. The only thing that gets me up set are the “My game/ map/ Match only” Purist that cry and ruin everyone’s game when they lose the vote.

Too bad 343 didn’t just release each game by itself so players wouldn’t have to sit in one playlist and hope to win a vote. Cross game is awful, the voting system is awful.

Actually. I like it. It’s “The Master Chief Collection”. Not “Halo (Insert title here)” They announced day 1 at E3 it would have cross game playlist. Like literally they said it when they announced the MP. So everyone knew what they were getting into. Those who didn’t were ignorant, nothing else.
The game is supposed to be halo 2’s Anniversary, why Halo 2 and Halo 2 anniversary have 2 dedicated servers each. But it is also to pay homage to ALL the halo games with Master Chief. So that is why it has the cross game. I enjoy the randomness of it. I’m play halo 2, then 3, the 2 again, then CE, then 4. It prevents the game from going l stale for I’m playing a different game each time.
And it isn’t the Cross game playlist. But the dedicated ones too. Whenever Team slayer or Objective is chosen. And the BR enthusiast start QQing and quit, go afk, or even TK, just to ruin everyone’s game because BR slayer wasn’t chosen.
Literally I have had yet to have a enjoyable match in halo 1-3 because of these selfish people who are upset because they are playing something out of their comfort zone. Only Halo 4 playlist has been fun for you don’t deal with any of these players. Everyone just plays to have fun in halo 4. Rarely anyone goes afk or quits, (you can’t tk in Halo 4)
So I’m sorry, for those who wanted to play JUST ONE GAME. This is a Collection. It wasn’t supposed to harbor to just one fab base. You all need to accept this and stop ruining this game for other players. I literally have several friends who bought halo mcc, who never played Halo before and are loving it. But they can’t seem to experience the Joys of Halo 1-3 for everyone has a “Play what I want or else attitude”
So grow up people. Your glory days are over. Just have fun. You guys have done more to ruin halo then 343I has ever done.

I get that it’s a collection that everyone chose to buy, but the devs also have a responsibility to the fans of each game when they made the collection to somehow make it fun for all of them. In my opinion it just didn’t work and I don’t see them trying to make it better, that’s the key part. Where are they right now? Are they trying to improve on the problems?
If you want to preach that message at everyone then make your own thread because you were responding to me with all of that and I’m not one of the people quitting out all of the time. I stay in CE and I play every single game.
I have a lot of problems with quitters but I don’t blame them entirely at all. 343 chose to make a collection and because of that the playlist selection is awful. For anyone who doesn’t like cross game they are shoved into one or two playlists with a crap voting system. That isn’t their fault, it’s 343’s.

True. I was writing to people in general.
I’ve actually played with some 343I employees. (Not hard to miss. They rock the 343I template on their profile while we rock stuff like 1th) I actually talked to a few offline. A lot of the time you see them, they are play testers trying to test out and file bug reports.
But they can’t get anything done. For they constantly getting hate msgs. And they never seem to get full matches for people seem to quit when they play. (To the point they stop using the template so they can actually get some matches in and actually write up bug reports) but they still get quiters and can never get any full test in. Like one in 15 matches. So in truth. We the community are slowing down the devs team’s progress. It’s horrible.
I was told these by 1 of them because I wrote him that I was happy for the hard work I see them doing. And he was willing to answer questions on the side. Just know. They are there. But they do need to test and Verify bugs. But they can’t if the community prevents that. We are the ones slowly 343 down. But of course they can’t openly say that. For the population would riot. Going, “how dare they blame us, the community.” But we are all to blame. 343I and The community. Our Hands are not clean.
Also I tried to start a thread about this. But i got reported by all the haters and actually had my account suspended for, “Posting unconstructive comments”
For 2 whole weeks.

But you have given me a great idea what we the community can do to help 343I out on this. I’m at work or I’ll get it up right now. But maybe if it’s done right. It could help speed up the recovery of MCC.
Why are threads like this still being created?
I will see most of you in Halo 5 ^
I do get the frustration though. I ‘feel like that’ sometimes too (even though, like most of you, I will be getting Halo 5 period).

Why would they not?
I also wont be buying H5. The beta could barely hold my attention past the first few days. I was banking on having MCC fully functioning to give me my Halo fix but they -Yoinked!- it up and now they have totally abandoned the game so ive abandoned them.
MCC has worked flawlessly for me from day 1. I think that’s mostly because I wanted to play all of the campaigns before hopping into MM. Because of my schedule, it took a long time to beat all of the campaigns on legendary. By the time I was done, MM was mostly patched and I’ve never had bad problems. So I’m looking forward to H5 and 343i’s future games.
I appreciate the manner in which you’re conversing OP. You’re stating your opinions in a very calm manner that I respect. That’s a rare trait here, so kudos. I hope after H5 has been out for a month or two (hopefully after a successful launch) you consider buying the game used at least. That wouldn’t put $ in 343i’s pockets, and you may get to continue your Halo passion. Just makes me sad to see Halo fans leave the series is all. Obviously by your tag I can tell Halo means a lot to you.
Cheers!

Wait, so your saying that 8 months after they released this junk pile they are blaming us for their problems.
If they made this collection of games “How we remember them” then they would have never done cross game playlist. As far as people going AFK and team killing yeah that’s the player. But many times I have been disconnected when I tried to play just as it is trying to load the map. That’s not me quitting that’s the crappy network coding that 343 implemented.
Love how you state that our hands are not clean in this also. Last I checked I had no part in creating this, I was just one of many trying to find enjoyment in it.

I’m very skeptical of people that say that this game worked flawlessly on day one because as we know, this game didn’t work “flawlessly” for anyone on day one, even campaign: Crashes, hard resets, check points not loading or saving, these problems were universal. If you have no issue with that and think these aren’t problems or even bug you then fine, I can understand that but no, this game did not work flawlessly for anyone on day one.
