All I can say is that I am a little sad about the changes. I always loved in halo 3 how everyone started out even, and then you could memorize weapon spawns, and use strategy to control all the power weapons. I will miss not having to worry about spring and classes like call of duty. It feels that 343 is taking out a lot of the uniqueness of halo and making it too mainstream. Halo used to be a wolf and now it is becoming another sheep.
I am at peace now with the changes and I hope that 343 will add some game modes where we have no classes, and weapons and AA pickups placed around the map. I am also hopeful that 343 will find new and exciting ways for halo to stand out from the crowd.
Last but not least I hope they do not add aim down the sights because that would piss me off.
I’m a little sad too, but I can just put Halo 3 back in. The only things I’m disappointed about are the random weapon locations and instant respawn. Everything else sounds good (even armor abilities)- especially spartan ops.
Hopefully those two things that I don’t like too much will be clarified…

I just don’t see why they had to change that. It was fine the way it was.
I’ll miss old Halo as well, but when the need arises Halo 3 will always be playable.
On the other end, I’m ready for a new game experience. A new formula with a hint of the old (which is what it seems like 343 is doing). I love game franchises that are always changing and experimenting while staying true to the core (like Zelda).
Classic playlists are best played with classic maps. Just look at Anniversary. Though if they do implement Classic for every new map, I won’t complain. I would even like Classic to come up as a variant in many playlists like how Pro and Elite ones did.
