I will have finished the battlepass by next week

Edit: To be clear im not complaining i have got through the content, I am more asking if anyone expects/hopes for some mid season content. Not just patches :end of edit

I am currently level 78 on the battle pass. I admit that i bought the 25 tier skips version so I have decreased how much id have to play. I currently have 27 double xp tokens and i use them pretty much when ever i play.

Just wondering of anyone else is finding this battle pass to be quite short. By the time i have had my daily plays reset im gonna be level 80/81.

This isnt a complaint though, by my rough calculations it should take a player who completes the challanges without double xp and without tier skips about 7 or 8 weeks to finish the battle pass.

With a 6 month long season i hope 343 has a few surprises in store to keep players engaged. I really doubt the game can recover if it repeates last seasons mistakes.

Im not saying this to hate. Im saying this because i know it can be great and i want to see it be great

I think these BP’s are very much designed to only go for 3 months rather than 6, but sadly that’s the situation we’re in with Season 2.

I think the event passes that should be coming should at least provide something to earn later in the season, but I do think this is another example of why having a true progression system will be nice.

Why don’t you save your tokens? You obviously will be able to complete the pass without using them for the rest of the season. You don’t get anything extra for rushing through the pass as quickly as possible.

Not saying what you did was wrong, but…

Why would you buy the first 25 levels and use your double XP for a season you knew was six months long and then complain that the pass was too short?

I’ve completed both weekly challenges and reached Onyx on two playlists and I’m only Level 22. I find the pacing to be just fine.

Recommendation: Save your remaining double XP for when they implement the Spartan career performance-based XP.

Wow you have been grinding your butt off in this game! How many hours you think you put in this season so far? I’m only at level 20, almost 21 of battle pass but I haven’t been using double xp.

343 said this battle pass was going to be 6 months. So why buy the battle pass that gives you a quarter of the levels. Just pace yourself playing the game you will get to 100 within 2 months by just playing daily and doing wuest

Im far away from level 100. I think i have reached level 6 until now. Because im not playing LSS im missing the extra challenge exp.

Can’t really blame 343 for making it this short.

Quite literally just about all people on this forum and other forums complained that it was too long when the game first came out. So they increased the time to get through the pass by adding more points to be given. They did this twice too.

So the people you want to blame for this is the fan base, not 343. 343 did something the fans wanted and now the fans are upset that 343 listened to them, when all they wanted was 343 to listen to them.

Im on 10.

Ill play when the weekly is worth playing (armor/visor)

I have a bunch of games to play and theres 6months of this season so theres 0 need to rush and theyre designed for 3months.

My passes seem to tick over 10 levels a week without me really trying.

I’ll just let it play itself out.

Although I really want the walkie talkie shoulder - but that’s level 78.

I’m on level 17 but I’ve been playing mostly LSS instead of my challenges.

I bought the 25 tier ā€œboostā€ for the S1 BP but after completing that pass with months to spare before S2 launched, learned my lesson. I’m at level 23 in the S2 BP right now, having played pretty consistently for the past two weeks. Even assuming I let off the gas and skip a week here or there, I’ll be done with it long before season 3.

As others have said, the 100 tier is a reasonable fit for a 3 month season. For all but the most casual players, though, it’s nowhere near enough to occupy six months.

Infinite S3 has to be the start of consistent and frequent quality content updates to this game. Especially with Starfield delayed now, there’s a lot of weight resting squarely on Halo to provide ā€œkiller appā€ experiences to Xbox players.

I’m at 25 after the first week but haven’t played this week yet.

I also have 30 or so boosts.

Now ask your self.

Was it worth it.

Sadly this seems to be vintage 343. ā€œWe’re making 6 month seasons with 3 months contentā€.

And before anyone says anything yes I know the content isn’t lasting people 3 months, but 343 thought it would.

That’s precisely why I opted to not buy the 25 levels and I won’t be using any double XP boosts this season, to stretch it out as long as possible. Because frankly I was bored last season after completing the BP.

And to add insult to injury, weekly ultimate challenges being locked behind 15 weekly challenges that grant 0 XP on a completed BP is just poor design and made everything feel like a uninspired grind.

How was I supposed to know that 343 would drag their feet and make more seasons 6 months?

It should be criminal they allow level skips

Its exploitative and also leads to your problem: lack of incentive later

They should have extra, optional battlepasses.

Yeah but 343 make money out of it lol

I’m going to be limited on the weekly challenges. I was last season and completed the pass in about 4 months.

I did last weeks challenges due to ā€˜interference’ and then did the Ultimate. I won’t do the next Ultimate until the next event or something worth while comes up.

Although, I am gathering achievements on MCC so not always playing Infinite. Hopefully will finish it by the time Coop is released. Then I’ll finish off getting the achievements for Infinite.

Not having the battle pass for the whole six months doesn’t really bother me as I’m used to playing Halo for hits, giggles and ranked.
