I Was Wrong About The Weapons

The weapons are actually fine. The problem was using them with a controller. The game’s aim assist could be a reason. 343 did a nice job with the arsenal. Although the BR, Mangler, and Energy Sword could be reverted back to how they were. I apologize for my previous weapon posts.

Imo using controller makes it easier though. I hardly ever get perfects on mouse, and Shock Rifle usually doesn’t hit the head on mouse, in my experience at least. I’ve been tweaking the settings between matches since the new mouse update, but it just doesn’t feel right, since I’ve used controller for 20 years. My only gripe with controller is that 343 needs to increase the rotation speed to match MCC.

For me personally, having played mainly controller and screwing around with MnK more recently, Infinite’s sandbox felt about the same. As I’m not quite there with MnK I have been missing shots, but overall they feel pretty much the same. Granted, I do get the recent aim assist benefits.

They’re generally better on controller.

But if you play better on a different input, well, that’s why it’s crossplay.

I think Infinite’s sandbox is generally fine, and most of its current issues are crappy server network configuration and crappy aim mechanics configuration.

For example, In Infinite when aiming with the BR it is much more effective to not even have your thumb on the aim joystick once you get your crosshair in target. Just letting Infinite’s aim assist auto track for you while you strafe is the most efficient way to track targets.

Once you realize the best way to aim in Infinite is literally to not aim, then all the weapons effectiveness skyrockets in general.
