That game still looks a lot more fun than what we’re dealt with in Halo 4. What I’m saying is I think Halo needs to STOP EVOLVING and go back to its roots.
I completely agree! I had a good old fashioned Halo 2 lan party last night and it was by far the most fun I’ve had on xbox in years! Even with all the problems that game did so many things right.
Man, Halo players have made me really hate the term “go back to its roots”. Because that definition changes from each person, they think it’s gospel law, and every single Halo game has always been advertised with the promise of, “We went back to the roots to design our game”. It’s just now a lame excuse people use to justify thier dislike.
Also, Halo 2 isn’t the “roots” if you want to be accurate. That would be Halo: CE on Xbox, since that was the initial starting point. Unless you want to go further and say the true roots of Halo are large maps with squad control on the Mac.
I just beat Republic Commando for the first time since 2005. I had a LOT more fun on that game then I did playing most recent shooters.

Really cause whenever I watch gameplay of 2 nowadays it’s really boring. Only fun when you’re playing it yourslef.
