i was on xbox chat support and they told me to post here to ask for a new code for halo MCC.
heres the story: my brother got a xbox one bundled with Halo MCC. so after he set up his xbox he signed into my account(before he revived his old account). so, not knowing how the system works, he was still under my account and redeemed his code for halo, thinking he could play it no matter whos name he was under. now he cant play halo without my name signed in, which causes me troubles for when i want to play.
like i said earlier, xbox chat support sent me here to request a new code from 343. if im not in the right place i am sorry but i would like to play halo with my brother, an im pretty sure he would like to play halo himself, even if he is idiotic. any way someone can help me out? plz 343

Not to be the bearer of bad news, but Xbox support only told you to come here to get rid of you because they don’t know how to help you, something they do a lot, not just for Halo games as I have personally found out myself. This is a community forum, made up of mostly regular players like you or me. 343 employees very rarely come on this website, only to post updates and blogs on the home page. Chances are you will never get any sort of reply from 343, let alone a code.

Agreed. I think either OP was misinformed, or is interpreting the MS information incorrectly. It doesn’t make sense why Microsoft support would direct the consumer to a Microsoft website for help. There’s a reason you have to log in with your Microsoft ID.
I could be nice about it but let’s just be honest here. Microsoft didn’t tell OP to ask for a new code on this website. Are we really believing this? Go to a video game forum to resolve the problem?!? Put two and two together, people. This is another fabricated thread of, “omg guys look how bad MS is”.

oh ok thank you. this is the second time they did this, where they sent me to a community forum site and i actually got the same response the last time. sigh

they told me to “request a code here because 343 regularly checks here” although they sent me to a different community site a few days ago and told me 343 “goes there daily” too. its funny because i got the same answer there as i did here. that this is a community site and 343 rarely checks
