I was testing my game-type & something happen

I was testing my exploration game-type out & the oddball person still got 5 points when I have all points set no points except for carrier & oddball kill-points, what do i need to do to get rid-of the oddball character getting points while holding the ball? I want him to get it by killing others or others killing him, but this has a twist. You all first have to find the ball, then the next, & so on. I also want to make it so when the ball is thrown or oddball carrier dies, it auto-matically moves to the next location? Oddball carrier didn’t kill anyone & still got 5 points. ;(

is there anyway I can?

ask [CLASSIFIED] or [CLASSIFIED]. They usually can help with this stuff. It’ll prolly require gametype modding as always with 343i’s screwed up custom game options.

There doesn’t seem to be an option for it. If I were you, like Taco said, ask [CLASSIFIED] or [CLASSIFIED].

Besides, I want 343i to see if they can add it in so everyone can have more fun with the oddball settings.

Anyway, does anyone here agree to this idea 343i should add?

The 5 points is for the medal you earn for killing him. It shouldnt be aplying to the team score ingame. Also, set the oddball respawn time to instant so as soon as its dropped it resets. Itll go to a random respawn point if you have more than one.

Thing is, no one died. It was just me testing it out, I threw it down in the water. I got 5 points by picking-up the ball when its all set to 0. But that does help a tad bit, thanks, I have it set on progressive. :wink:

Try halo 3 or Reach you won’t have a problem on a good functioning game.

No thanks, I like halo 4, not reach as there is no sprint always active & halo 3 is very bad, your talking to a person who joined halo on reach 7 loved it & hated all the other ones.

Well with these “custom settings” that’s the limit I guess. I’m sure someone else will have a better explanation or solution.

@Co2 OUTBR3AK

I forgot, but in oddball, there is no respawn timer in the settings. ;(

Also the marker that pops up to show where, I can’t disable it, even when I say disabled, its not. ;(

It’s funny how someone who joined Halo at Reach knows so much about the Halo 3 customs… You are wrong. Normally I am open for discussion, but you are really wrong.

Reach has the best Forge, Halo 3 has the best Custom Games. Halo 4’s Forge and Custom games are severely limited and they do not compare to Reach or Halo 3.

Lol classified. Security clearance required.

No it didn’t. Reach did. Halo 4 is a step back, but things like Personal Ordinance, loadouts, more default player traits, armor abilities, and Dominion objects make the custom game potential of Halo 4 much greater than Halo 3.

Thank You… That is what I was getting at.

@Bean Head200:
Halo 3 don’t have any of this, nor does halo reach, but it did introduce load-outs. Nor does halo 3 have flood, regicide, slayer with sprint like it should be, not an AA, but as equipment. I went & played halo 3 when my cousin plays it, only after i played reach thinking, “Ah, it can’t be too bad, to my surprise, it was horrible.” No jet-pack , no AA, no real-time equipment, it felt blan, plain, like a chocolate chip cookie with no chocolate chips. Graphics were okay, but the customs were horrible, you couldn’t set-up sprint all the time like the mobility mod does here. You couldn’t use much of anything, it felt like i was playing cod without the perks.

The thing I hated the most was movement speed, 100% is halo 4’s 50%. Campaign is the only thing I liked, for a few moments.

I went to try these games and none of them lived up to this except for one, the one my cousin & I loved, but only because it was the first halo to come-out. It was Awesome. I loved the scenery, the graphics, & I really wish the first campaign mission from it was a Multi-player level.

But to prove my point, in halo 3, you still can’t set oddball on instant re-spawn, you can’t have it so you only get points by killing, & you can’t even enable/disable abilities, equipment, & etc like you can now.

Hence why your argument of saying, “go to 3” was very well, inaccurate to say the least.

Now, 343i, will we be able in this games life time remove active markers like oddball’s marking where its at, making it so the menu actually works, & etc? Please say soo…
