I was sad, but now I'm better

At first when I heard about H5G’s video I was about ready to shoot myself. I thought 343 went full blown dumb. Then I realized I gotta see it for myself. Now, since I’ve accually seen it, I really like it. I just am wondering what they are doing for BTB…

I agree. When I first saw it, I thought it was the death of Halo. Now, thinking about it with a clear mind, I see it us actually a pretty neat idea.

Yeah, same with me. At first glance I was a little upset, then I started watching it and other videos then I kinda liked the changes. I can’t wait for the beta!

It’s gonna be great! 7 maps is gonna be spectacular.

same,im now really exited for breakout and I wonder what additions they have for btb.

I can only imagine BTB!

343i likes to drip feed information. 2015 and the E3 reveal will be stellar.

And the size of maps :o

Anyone who came into Halo at Halo 3 will complain about anything added to the gameplay that varies from what they had in Halo 3. What those players don’t realize is that Halo 3 had some fairly large variations from Halo 2, which had some pretty large variations from Halo: CE.

Halo: CE - huge grenade throws, indestructible vehicles, health, fall damage

Halo 2 - dual-wielding introduced, grenade throws greatly nerfed, vehicles now destroy, health removed

Halo 3 - equipment added, quantity of grenades shifted (max of 2 grenades per type, instead of 4; to compensate for added grenade types)

While I’m not saying that everything is as game-changing as, say, armor abilities were in Halo: Reach, I am saying that we should expect some game-changing differences from title to title. That’s why I’m okay with “Spartan Abilities”. Armor Abilities, by their very nature, were designed to vary from player to player. Spartan Abilities, on the contrary, are enabled and ready-to-use for every character across any game. 343i is proving they understand Halo by designed a new aspect of the game to be included into the “Golden Triangle” that will not interfere with balance (unlike Armor Abilities). Honestly, I could care less about what they zoom looks like so long as it functions the same. I’m more wary of the zoom’s button shift than I am the functionality. It’s just a pretty skin on the zoom feature.

If Halo doesn’t evolve from title to title, then they might as well make one all-encompassing game and just make updates and patches to it. That’s what they Halo 3 fanatics really wanted with Halo 4: new maps for the Halo 3 engine with a new paint-job.

I’ll be honest, I wasn’t a huge fan of having thruster, ground pound, the sounds, the smart scope and the ‘pull yourself up’ (don’t know name).

After watching the pro match I think I am okay with all of them but one… ‘pull yourself up’. Skill jumps are literally dead.

I think the features could grow on me in time, but I was REALLY hoping for none ‘gimmick’ additions that are technically a crutch.

I think thruster is good / skilled.

Same here. Mainly because I read the comments before watching the video (wrong move, btw).

At first, I was afraid.
I was petrified.
Long story short, I will survive.

I was shocked at how fast paced it got all shocked suddenly, but it actually looks very fun. In my opinion the thrusters are good, the slide not so much, the sprint is more balanced so I’m ok with it and the clambering is not so much of a deal, the scope have to test it to give a good opinion, and same for the ground pound. So until the beta comes out can’t give a well detailed opinion. As I think most people are also waiting on it to give theirs.

lol say what you want but H2 and H3 multiplayer community thrived where as Reach and H4 and dwindled and almost died.

why is that? you can preach about how it needs to change all you want but obviously something is wrong with the direction they’re talking halo, and the strong majority agrees with me.

I’d also like to see vehicular combat as well as a brief campaign glimpse, not enough to give anything away, but to get an idea of how its going to go

Personally, I can’t wait. BTB is gonna be a blast.
