I remember the ending of Halo 3, it couldn’t have been more perfect. The perfect tribute ending. Master Cheif missing, wile humanity moved on, paying tribute to him, with that music playing in the background. Right at the end, the screen focused on an inscription, it said “117” and the screen went black. Looking back on it, that scene just did it for me, that was it. I don’t even need anymore sequels. I just want the Chief to remain in cryosleep, waiting to be woken…
Halo 4’s campaign did nothing for me. I honestly wish Halo 4 never came out at this moment. That’s it I’m out. No more Halo 5, or 6, or 7 or 8. I’m done with Halo. Master Chief is still sleeping in my head. I may buy the next one to touch the multiplayer if it’s innovative enough, but Master Chief’s story has ended long ago in my eyes. I urge you to listen to that track from Halo 3, and tell me Halo 4 touches you like that. Halo just isn’t the same anymore.
